Never seen one on this condition before. Visual grade: EX, minor warp NAP €350 The Tom – Emmanuel and Ron Experience – When you lose your groove / Why (The knower) – Golden Three Records 7000 OG copy of this crossover winner with a spiritual soul flip. Visual grade: EX €250 Anita Moore and The TSU Jazz Ensemble – Compared to what? / Didn’t we – Advent 1001 Relentless jazz funk version of the Les McCann and Eddie Harris classic. Look sunplayed but has one mark not affecting play. Visual grade: Strong VG+ €200 The Spencer Jackson Family – Sometimes I feel like a motherless child / Ain’t nobody gonna treat us like they used to do – Zulu 0005 Surface marks but nothing too deep. Has a piece missing on the run-in that doesn’t impact play on the ‘Motherless child’ side but unfortunately the first thee rotations on the ‘Treat us’ side have gone awol so I recorded from the start of the playable part Visual grade: G €150 The Premonitions – Daddy’s home / Way I feel – Tassi 1001 Ballad cut taken from the holy grail album. Equally rare but comes at a fraction of the price. Visual grade: EX, storage warp €100 The Del-Chords – Everybody’s gotta lose someday / Your mommy lied to your daddy – Mr. Genius 401 Pennsylvania group harmonies from the outfit that later recorded as the Magnificent Men. Looks more a minter but has one superficial mark not affecting play so took the grade down a bit. Visual grade: Strong VG+ €75 The Voices of Watts – May not be what you want / The morning after – Tree of Life 1 Deep Cali gospel that turns up every decade or so. Visual grade: VG- €60 Cookin’ Bag – This is me / The song I sing – Solid Gold 45-101 Seattle funk bomb that has been sought after for decades. A steal at this price! Visual grade: M-, minimal warp NAP €60 J.B. Lenore – Fine girls / I lost my baby – Parrot 821 Penultimate Parrot release from this Chicago blues legend. Visual grade: EX €60 Isley Brothers – Why when love is gone / Take me in your arms– Tamla 54164 Driving dancer and one of their harder ones to find, especially this clean. Visual grade: VG+ to EX €55 The Reflections – You don’t love me / I need your love – Went 001 Infectious northern dancer from Miami. Not to be confused with the better known Detroit outfit. Visual grade: EX €50 Dolores Gibson – I got a feeling / Another woman’s man – Ultra Sonic 110 Popcorn classic on the rare black vinyl issue. Visual grade: VG+ €40 Veneice – 18 Days / Stepchild – Hi 45-2204 DJ Copy Popcorn fingersnapper produced by Willie Mitchell. Visual grade: Strong VG+ €35 Ann Cole – I’ve got nothing working now / Give me love or nothing – Baton 247 New breed R&B that’s a sure shot for the dance floor. Plays very well Visual grade: VG €30 Etta “Miss Peaches” James – Fools we mortals be / Tough lover – Modern 45x998 Early soulful outing from one of the all time greats, hidden of the flip of a more dance floor oriented jump blues side.
