Does anyone think this might be illegal?

I've sent him an email "So you can't remember if you bought originals or pressings and you don't know how to tell the difference - pull the other one", I await an abusive email back. But...we have a good track record for spoiling these peoples fun, so if anyone can think of anything else or wants to contact him, please go for it. It's ok if you know about these things but what about all the people who are going to get mugged off.

Well yours are certainly all boots Matt! No mistake. Well maybe Don Thomas and Gary lewis are legit reissues.

No,he's selling boots which is technically illegal,so he's not admitting to nowt ,I have this message for him....

I've just had an ebay seller come back saying he now cant find the record he was selling despite giving a very graphic description and loading on photos

he has refunded my payment straight away but thats not the point

can you tell me what you are talking about im think i lost the plot here me being a real numpty that is

lots of people selling boots, re issues without proper description these days, if it looks to good to be true dont go there, look at other items they have for sale, usually lots of the same kind of stuff from the same era , £1000 records for £5.. very rare never mind same person selling dozens of them!!! last one i got caught with i just mailed the guy and said i aint paying, if you dont want shit feedback just leave it as it is! mutual agreement reached pretty quickly! if it aint what its suppossed to be dont pay up,easy.some of the older boots are pretty hard to tell. so ask on here first, i have, someone will help out with advice.

Boot/poss legal reissue...original came out on Keymen

Can't make out title artist?

Original has light blue label, boot is pale green

Not 100% on this as there were 3 releases but looks legit????

Assume this is a boot as it was UA originally I think..

1st issue has large ARCHER stamp, second issue a small ARCHER stamp, boot no stamp at all

Re the Superlatives, that looks like styrene to me, look around where the logo is, looks like stuck-on label and there isn't a styrene original

Gems originally came out on Riverside so I assume thats a boot as well, no idea why they put it on Tru-Glo-Town though...

Oh, messes up maybe on Superlatives...if it's styrene with a bright blue label then that is a boot as well.

This seller does look like he is well aware that some of his items are dodgy, but hardly a day goes by, on this forum, in which someone is either posting up a scan and asking advice on whether it is a boot or an original or asking for a matrix number.

A lot of people are selling "a record", they will have no clue as to the matrix number, the width af the dead wax, type of font or even the colour of the label.

These sellers are not trying to rip anyone off, just because they choose not to spend time researching whether the record they are selling,often for a couple of quid,is an original, should not raise the hackles of anyone on this forum.

Yeah, I've had that one before too "Ooops I don't seem to have the record anymore, sorry" normally when you win a record at below its current selling price. The last time was from a well known UK "dealer".
