Joe & George versus Hot Cinnamon

Recommended Posts

Always knew the Hot Cinnamon on S.O.S. theory being the first release on a local label to the Joe & George on Now. But with time and no real encounter with the Hot Cinnamon copy I'm getting suspicious some about that theory... First the sole image I manage to get hold of the Hot Cinnamon is not the best but screams 'boot' to these eyes. Boot from the same "mold" as Rex Garvin 'queen of the go go' and alikes for example.

Secondly there's the 'Then Music' BMI licencing that is shared with 2 other releases on the Now label as it's also the case for the Joe & George. That implies a continuity on the Now label for 3 consecutive numbers including the Joe & George release. Where on the sole issue of the S.O.S. label it also appears but only as 'Then' (no Music) with the oddest catalogue numbering N-5 ??? Like the Now label although Joe & George there is N-4 !

Anyone knows better or have stories on it ? How does it sound on S.O.S. ? Good ? Better or not ? Could it only be a rare boot ? If so a new quest for some and an old one I can finally drop...
