Please do not react to this here either: Tonysoul52!!!! Watch out! I was offered an £850 record from my many WANTS. Blocked it straight away. All jpegs are really the same maki
3 x members it seems have been ripped off recently by a member pm-ing them out of the blue and offering them high value 45s that they have recently posted 'wants' for in our wants forum
When they agree to purchase they then are asked to pay to a email via friends and family paypal payment
By paying in such a way the member then loses any protection or chance of refund if the deal goes wrong, ensuring that the scammer keeps the members cash
As the 45 offered are accompied by made up 45 scans, it is 100% in such cases that this 'offer' is indeed a rip off

Posting the below info in the hope that it will make all members aware of what can happen if they don't check sellers backgrounds/info and hopefully help avoid any other similar occurances
The methods used on here by 2 members - more than likely the same person follow below
0 or low post members with no feedback, history
Uses gmail emails both for joining the site and for the paypal friends and family payment
Most times uses good english, but there were slips up, plus a notable lack of knowledge on normal vinyl trading
Gives uk town as location, but uses vpns
The scans of 45 used have all been low quality (400 x 400) and appears are made up of online images edited in such a way so they don't show up as identical in google image searchs
Used attachements in past and for the latest used the freeimage website for hosting the scans
https://freeimage.host/i/jpg23.HYa5TMb
eg
two recent ones used
note that the vinyl part of the scan is identical in both images

an account opened jan 2023 sharing similar details and methods as above
name soulattack emails used Mbalog1998@gmail.com and sonnymontana9@gmail.com
ripped off 2 members using the above 2 images and payments via f&f paypal and fake scans
account now closed

all 3 the same guy? looks likely
as said account muter007 joined site in 2017
back then gave real name as Jiri Svatek and email ice_kid007@azet.sk
come back in 2022 and then tried this scam out with 'new' gmail emails
anyone know this guy? if so ask get in touch via pm asp
------------------------------------------------------
3 members have been ripped off it appears
This amount was kept low thanks to members informing us asp so once aware we could take immediate action and close the accounts
Ask if you do in the future get any 'dodgy' trading pms then please report/flag the pm asp so we can have a look at whats goin gon
----------------------------------------------------
bottom line
there is always an element of risk if you use f&f payments
Obviously a risk of the seller being dishonest etc but you do also lose protection if the 45 gets lost or delayed due to various reasons.
With unknown or new members or indeed if there is any doubt, simply do not use them!
