Tremendous tribute, Numero  Uno ! [The lonely peoples prayer" sheer bliss my trousers are still moist] Wonderful write up Senors Swift y Moore !

Fabulous tribute to the 00 Soul showman.

I often recall his appearance on pre-allnighter Golden Torch New Year's, which was sparsely attended on a very wintry night.circa . Following a big intro by Chris Burton he came on stage wearing that white Elvis style cat suit and rocked the house!

At least that's how I remember it, can anyone confirm the date?

Great read.  very factual,  and a really nice guy. I remenber getting on the stage with him at Hinkley nighters back in the 80s and stomping away.  Think i have a photo somewhere. might have to dig it out. Shane

Big thanks for posting.

A true gent on and off stage. His music will live on for ever on the Northern soul scene.

Saw him many times over the years. Sadly missed but never forgotten.

Great read, I'm really looking forward to getting home tonight and getting my tic tic/Motown 45s out...

Best live performance ever at the Q club in brum in the 9ts, when he did 'Time' it literally blew my head off standing at the front... Never experienced a live act better that that song on that night, and it might never be surpassed....

Well done Dave...

Always thought it was Scott Breedon....

Need to get my ears cleaned.

A legend indeed. So sad he passed too early.

A fitting tribute telling his story in such a detailed way.

Somebody make a film or stage play!

Ed
