Craig W Posted June 22, 2007 Share Posted June 22, 2007 Northern soul / Motown night at The Connaught Hotel main ballroom in Wolverhampton (A41) on Friday 6th July with resident DJ's Hitsville Chalky , Craig Westwood and Phil Richards. Special guest is Kenny Onions. The ballroom has a huge real wooden sprung dancefloor. There is a large chill out area adjacent to the dancefloor with record dealers. Running from 8 pm till 1 am admission is £5.00. It has a well balanced mixture of classic Northern Soul and Tamla Motown through to lesser heard Detroit classics and big money originals and a light sprinkling of modern / crossover. No politics whatsoever. The emphasis is on an enjoyable night. As you are well aware the no smoking ban comes into force next month but if you fancy a cigarette there is a raised patio area with tables to the front of the hotel so we will probably introduce a hand stamp or similar if you do want to quickly pop out.
