Yogi From South Wales Died Today

CRAIG BRICK JUST GOT NEWS AND RANG ME, TO ASK IF I WOULD PUT ON SOUL SOURCE THAT YOGI FROM SOUTH WALES DIED TODAY.

HE WAS WELL KNOWN AT WIGAN CASINO, YATE, AND BIRMINGHAM LOCARNO.

Knew Yogi and some of the South Wales guys back in the 70t's - they were major card players who use to hang around with Chris & Harry (DEMOB) - cheers for giving us some magic buzzing times Yogi - way back then (All The Good Times Are Gone) - RIP

That's rotten, he was a character and a half and livened up many a 100 Club evening, he lived in London for several years in the 80s. My condolences to all his friends and relations.

Very sad news, used to travel up most Saturdays on the coach with Yogi and the Blackwood crew to the Casino back in the 70's, saw him a few times at the 100 club, and at Crickhowell more recently, can't believe it....... RIP buddy....

Being a Staffordshire Lad didn't know Yogi....but lookin at his club list.... our paths have got to have crossed.

anybody got info on funeral

not sure if i knew him or had just heard about him from others..... allguys who have posted to remember him are great soulies, top lads so he has to have been one! ANOTHER EMPTY CHAIR!!!

Yogi's funeral will be held this Friday at Woodfieldside funeral home [situated about 1/2 a mile from Blackwood,Gwent] at 9 a.m. and then on to Cwmbran crematorium at Croesyceiliog nr. Cwmbran at 10 a.m.

I'm told the plan is to have a get together at The Masons Arms in Blackwood after the funeral to give Yog a good send off.

Agreed, another of the scenes characters gone...

Sad news indeed, nutter maybe, but real nice bloke, proper character. Remember many a happy night & day with Yogi & the other Blackwood boys - Wigan, St Ives, Yate, 100 Club etc.

Rest in Peace with all our other friends already there.

just found out about yogis death used to hang out with the blackwood boys mainly yate but other nighters aswell great fun saw yogi last june at the coal exchange cardiff sure you will be havin fun where ever you are. respect skippy (old brum lot) x

Sad news,one of the "Blackwood boys" right bunch of nutcases and great fun to be around.

Not seen him since Porthcawl but not likely to forget him either.
