Theres a couple of threads elsewhere about this. If it hasn't got a Nashville Matrix stamp in the run off, it's not an original. I sold an original 6 months ago for £1200. Boot worth 5 to 15 quid.

No Ian I think he means a lookalike boot that is very close to the original just no nashville matrix stamp. Can't tell the boot from the one in your scan.

To be honest the Matrix number is irrelevant (and I haven't got one to hand) - just needs to have that Nashville matrix stamp. If it's got a triangle and a delta number, that's a 70's issue, and there's a vinyl boot as well.

As Pete quite rightly states the Matrix has to have the "Nashville Matrix" Stamp

Here it is in full from a previous thread of mine.

This is an Original it is on Vinyl and has the "Nashville Matrix" STAMPED in the Deadwax on both sides.

The Deadwax on mine is

Scratched "3125 - 1" STAMPED "Nashville Matrix" Scratched "95"

Thanks for that. Was a bit worried havin not been on the scene for years, and you know what the old stalwarts thinks about that. Its not that I dint want to support the scene, circumstances prevented me from doing so. But thank god for the internet now, I can keep in touch somehow.

The Grapevine release is pretty worthless to be honest because they gave most copies away after it was withdrawn from sale, on a good day you can get £15 for it.

I had a full set of Grapevines for sale last month, think I asked £350, they didn't sell.

People ask ridiculous prices for the Lester Tipton single but it shouldn't really be more than £30, no matter how brilliant it and it's B side are.
