There's no point in answering people's comments on the thread about "Souled Out", as they risk being deleted, and I have no wish to type out comments that will be removed.

Mike asked those going off-topic to start a new thread, and so I have.

I will try to be at least more civil than I am on A.N.S., but I refuse to be castrated.

I will not post on the "Souled Out" thread unless it is to specifically comment on items relevant to the film, and my abject horror at the Soul Police dissing it before it's even been made.

I have opened this thread specifically to answer comments and fight back. I realise that if someone puts a nasty comment on one of my videos on YouTube I can be as rude as I like back to them and delete their comments, and block them from having any further access to my videos at all.

I have no such luxury here.

As I said, I shall try to be civil, certainly to most, but find it very hard to be civil to those few for whom I have ZERO respect.

Yesterday, I posted Mr Levines cv, that he actually wrote for his website, which, I think its fair to say, is a tool for promoting himself. I am reposting it (without comment!), as I think you can draw some interesting conclusions from it. But I will leave that to you. No, that was Rocq-E Harrell's version, on SWONS. This is Corine Armstrong's version of the same song.

Hi Kylee , apart from John Anderson and Simon Sousann ,I doubt if there is anyone who's discovered as many records as Ian Levine ,people can be critical of his richer than many upbringing , but the one thing money can't buy is taste and during the early to late 70's a huge amount of discoveries ,which are still stone classics , were found by Levine.There are so many questions to be answered from this golden era , we're indeed lucky that Ian has a photographic memory of records and events .I can understand if the newer productions are not to everyone's taste [ there are some I really love , others less so , I just take it record by record ] but you can't re - write history and when I first got hooked on the scene in the early 70's , Levine WAS the man .By the way hope the move went ok ? I've found this thread really interesting reading for the most part. I love hearing stories of record discoveries & times at The Mecca & Wigan etc. Obviously it was before my time but i like to know the history of the music that i'm passionate about!

Hello everyone,

There may be some confusion because some of the Innovation II releases were distributed by Warner Bros who had funded the label.

The label was owned by Carl Davis and E Rodney Jones. I think Marshall Thompson of The Chi-Lites was involved in A&R.

By the way, the Barbara Hall tracks were actually recorded down in Atlanta, not in Chicago as most people assume. Tommy Stewart played on those tracks.
