Hi everyone,

I'm currently compiling an article on Tamiko Jones for Soul Up North.

If anyone has any information on this singer and if possible her current whereabouts and if she is still involved in the music scene, could you send this on to me at my email addy.. soulupnorthhfe@aol.com

any help would be appreciated (especially her time spent in the UK)

She released TOUCH ME BABY b/w CREEPIN' (IN MY DREAMS) in 1974 ~ a Johnny Bristol connection, IIRC - did he write/produce or both TMB?

She had a couple of later tunes LET IT FLOW and READ ME RIGHT...

I vaguely remember a Northern 60's recording called "The Pearl" - but I've totally forgotten the label details for the moment...

Also the disco monster "Can't Live Without Your Love" on UK/US Polydor, (big at The Rum-Runner) in late 1979.

This isn't necessarily Tamiko Jones, just cos they've got the same Christian name! I have "Is it a sin" on Checker by the same artist, don't think it's Tamiko Jones though. Who knows?
