chucked my membership when the casino invited the tv cameras in more divs and dickeheads in that night than ever i only went for thre years almost every saturday and friday allnighters making a 150 mile round trip as for badgers well!

Remeber having to queue up for ages to get the cards that you had to apply for at least 48 hours before!!! those were the days eh???

someone say they sold theres for £20 whats mine worth then?

Back to january 1975 , my 18th , i was told ( what a load of sh_te) that i'd never get in as i looked 10 when i was 18 lol so i waited until i was legit , had everything ready to prove etc........was i asked ? lol i was rammed , squashed , trammpled until i was through the doors and in....... i put it in the sleeve of my first driving licence and kept it pretty good i'm sure you agree.

Hi Sue - somewhere back home in Lincolnshire (23000 miles away) I should still have the same pink membership card from the opening night number 14, thats if dear old mom has'nt binned it grrrrrr.

I know you say that yours is a ladies card being pink but I seem to remember that that was the only colour they had that night, I might be wrong but mine was pink & I am definately not a lady !

Poke was with me that night so his should be an early number too if he's still got it.

whatever someone wants to pay,................got torch one ,cats one , just sitting there till i need a few quid for a record...u cant play um,thats the problem cant sell memories..........cant remember much anyway cheers ez

Here's mine 1975, it's been in a plastic wallet since. Though the middle is rather thin where its been folded.

And this, the only original badge left , never sewn on anything.

this thread had me routing!... i had loads of membership cards because i would lose them all the time or as someone said we would rip them in half to get someone else in.. there were always people arriving asking if you had a spare membership so i would often rip it in two (wernt we kind to strangers!) anayway ive found my other halves one and thats pink, number 689 so you may be right about them all being pink on the first night?... his number is hand written, wonder what thats about?

also found 'new york connection soul club'... which for those that dont know was the highland room dated 81/82

we have loads of memberships, one for samanthas too... ahhhhhhhh memories eh!

Judging by the numbers on some of the cards there are some old buggers out there!

Scanning and the like totally beyond me (I'll get someone to do it at work tomorrow!) my number is "Jun 1416" its blue and - fortunately - its a gents. With earlier reference to members not paying for drinks, mine say "MEMBERS NOTE - Non-Members MUST NOT Pay for drinks".

I seem to remember by the time I got there I felt like a proper newcomer, and that everyone else already knew everything and everyone already. I always had an aversion to badges (I still do) and have never ever bought one, even if it came as part of the admission I gave it away without fail. And I still would!

A pal of mine has membership card number 007 from the opening night !!

Threw mine away years ago. I wonder if they ever kept a list of numbers and names? Probably too much to ask.

Online somewhere there is a database where people have updated their numbers working towards completion I think.

HI WIGANITES.... This WIGAN CASINO MEMBERSHIP, Looks like an early one to my eyes, 73/74, but with the great JACKIE WILSON'S NAME SIGNED ON IT!? The name/ signature is slightly different from my one, but the Ebay seller says it's right, and I believe him,

It sold last week for £75, i reckon he was mugged £75, think about it, original red membership card + JACKIE WILSON, it would look good if you had all the memberships with there variations, signed by:-WILSON, BARNS, LANCE, HUNT, LEVILE, BETTY WRIGHT, Jr WALKER AND DtheDRUG £75 WHAT A GIFT DAVE KIL
