This thread may have run before, but what's your single favourite pop record from the 60's?

I know, it's hard to narrow down to one (or two!) but makes for better reading than endless lists (IMHO)

Here's your starter from the Day household....

My fave. Bloody beautiful melody, stunning arrangement, a perfect record from first note to the last. :lol:

A stunning record from my youth...so a couple of weeks ago I brought a copy off ebay(for old times sake) It was a nice aussi copy.........and it was shite...A sort of watered down version...?????????? any ideas as to why it's a different take?

also...did the british version on mgm start with loads of manic laughter? The aussi one dosent...but the version I have on mp3 does !!!

Good call John. I used to fancy Venus like mad when I was a young boy (until Dianna Rigg came along...)
