In the early/mid 7ts PEP in my opinion was and still is in many ways vocally the best Northern Soul DJ, I never could understand what he was saying but his Voice was integral to an intro of Vibes or Bells people may say Dave Everson Has the crown he is close> however PEP IS THE TOP MIDLANDS DJ. and its was almost unthinkable that Mick Smith or My self DJing with our dolcet tones?
