So Sad, Mike Terry he's up there with the big ones RIP
  7. Well said that man, The Wirral has always been a soul desert I can count on one hand the number of local northern fans I know and boy, did we yearn for those weekends and those weekly packages from Selecta disc, Record corner, and occasionaly Blues n' Soul. I've probably had most of those sounds in my collections at one time (mainly pressings) but hearing them played out will be a wonderful experience. I knew a guy who went to the Torch roundabout that era 'Bootlace' and his girlfriend Geraldine any one remember them Also a guy, Charlie Taylor (Parker?) who used to go to the Mecca and sold me April Stevens and Jimmy soul Clarke is he still around? Paul cheques on the way John
  8. My northern soul top 500 is a bit 'dog yeared' now
  9. Working in an envoiriment where I'm more likely to hear pop radio Its quite easy to pick out samples of soul hits. 50 cent sampled the Trammps Rubber Band recently and J Lo's most recent relies on Eddie Kendricks Keep on Truckin. Its quite a headache trying to place the samples though John
