Brilliant tune, I played this on Sat. night at Soul City, Manchester. Melissa was 17 when she sang this. Jordi
  2. For some reason I always thought Porgy and the Monarchs' "Think twice" with "My Heart Cries" only came out on the blue 70's boot/pressing and that was the only way to get it.
  3. Have a look here on Popsike Nick. It's not cheap. I used to have a re issue but I'd love a real one. https://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php?searchtext=mighty+ryeders&x=16&y=12 Jordi
  4. I love 70's sweet group soul, but I still find this sickly and twee although the chorus is fabulous. Jordi
  5. I sold mine a couple of years back for two hundred I think. I had it some years and never really liked it much, I found it too sickly. You never saw it for sale back then so I reckon someone's found a few. Jordi

  11. Here's some sales stuff with soundfiles where I've been able to find them, so obviously they are not from the actual record for sale. I need to raise some money for a want, so once I've got enough I will take this list down as there's stuff here I don't really want to sell. Please PM me for availability. Payment will be as a paypal 'gift' please. I will cover postage worldwide. Unfortunately Soul Source won't let me post the youtube links to the tracks but I have found most of the links. Anything you are interested in I can mail you the audio links or you can easily find them yourself on Youtube. 13. That used to be mine Brett. It was apparently Jimmy Burns' own personal copy. It is a rawer mix than the released Dispo 45. I traded it with Vince as part of a deal one night at Prestatyn. I wish I hadn't let it go really, especially for what I got for it. Jordi
  14. Blimey, Roy's improved since his 60's northern monster c/u's then.
  15. So presumably it's a different Sonny daye ( aka Thomas Hawkins) who sings with Sly, Slick & Wicked on the brilliant "Never Had a Girl" on Bad Boys. Jordi
  16. Ace set Nev. When are you DJ'ing next? Jordi
  17. I used to get this coach to Wigan from Scarborough. I used to come up from Driffield and stay at Mick Hussey's flat, with Mick and Jinxy. Used to travel with Mick, Jinxy, Ricky Posgate(?), black Rob etc, etc. I always remember the one night when the coach stopped in Leeds on the way to Wigan so everyone could have a pint (and pick up whatever stimulants that needed picking up). After everyone had got back on the coach and we were pulling out of Leeds all the police piled on the coach making everyone put their hands on their heads and whacking anyone who didn't. I'd never seen so many bags of pills shooting up the aisles of the coach. we all had to go into Leeds police station while they strip searched everyone. The police lined up a hall with chairs on both sides for people to sit on after they'd been searched and I remember there was a nasty f@cker of a sergeant who brought the first lad out and sat him on one side of the room. He'd been found with something on him and the sergeant said "by the end of the night all this side of the room will be full of you fuckers". By the end of the searching there was still only the one lad on that side and he had a doctor's note, every body else had managed to off load on the coach. I think we got to Wigan at about 2.00 am. Fantastic times, and the music at Wigan in those later years was superb. Jordi
  18. 2 killer rare groove sides. Mine has the labels the wrong way round, has this? Jordi

Pete, I seem to remember someone telling me the Outsiders were a Wolverhampton band, is that true? I used to have the Detroit Shakers boot, thought it was a fantastic tune. I'd be interested to hear it now. Jordi
  20. How cool is that?
  21. Detroit Spinners Mr. Goose.
  22. Gorgeous sweet flip. Jordi
