So what is the difference between saying thank you in person or on here afterwards? Apart from one being public of course. Surely saying thank you at all makes you desperate in some peoples eyes. Saying thank you in my eyes is just good manners and no big deal. I always say thank you for asking me in a lookback where I have DJ'd and I certainly am not desperate to DJ. Once again I am just glad I go out to have fun (even though that is not strictly allowed)

You obviously don't consider yourself a desperate DJ so why can't this be the same for other DJs? I was going to ask if a promoter thanks someone for DJing for them does that make them a desperate promoter? Also you can't seriously compare a DJ set to your everyday job
  4. I wasn't being funny with my comments Andy. Apologies if I came across that way. I suppose it is a little different for the likes of me who has never been in the position of having totally unknown stuff to play. If it had been me I would definitely have played Our Love Is Dying and would not have played Switch Around. I am probably a minority of one with that last comment
  5. Hi Andy. So you played it just because it was unknown even though you didn't rate it? I have to say that I find playing something that you don't love quite hard to understand. That said, I appreciate your honesty
  6. Great post Mike Brought a lump to my throat... and then a smile to my face when I saw the DDA fella. Good times indeed.
  7. Why would you play a track you thought was average? Would you play a 'known' track you thought was average?
  8. I remember the first time I heard this - Lifeline at Sheridans. Andy D played it. Hit me like a ton of bricks. Incredible
  9. Lighten up guys I doubt it has much relevance for a lot of us. Doesn't mean you can't have a laugh at it though? Lets face it, if everything on here had to be relevant to everybody we would be in trouble Like Chalky says see you in a few hours for the proper stuff
  10. I just clicked on the photos and it looks like a scene from High School Musical I wonder if they have Maggie singing in the House of Commons And before anyone says anything - no I haven't seen it but looking at those photographs I defy anyone to say they didn't cringe - even just a little bit!

  20. That radio room was complete and utter mayhem. Absolutely hilarious! Remember when Edwin made those Welsh cakes and somehow the windows of their caravan disappeared?
  21. Prestatyn for the live acts but without doubt the old Great Yarmouth weekenders for the sheer madness of it all. Great days indeed!!
  22. Could he have two Ebay accounts - using one account to bid up the price of items he is selling?
