I've got a few 'home made' jobbies that I knock together to listen to at work. You're welcome to a couple of them, mind you, you will have to put up with my taste in music PM me your address if interested

Me for one However I'm beginning to question how rare it actually is, because it seems to be popping up on lists fairly regularly these days. Still think it's class though

Gene Steridel's version of this is even slower Franciscans - Walk To The Bottom Of The Sea is pretty funerial as well

The cheques in the post Jo Fine thanks, just not getting out as much as I used to

Unissued Musicor recording, recorded at the same session as Don't Cry Sing Along With The Music
  8. It was covered up as Carol Anderson, Heartbreaking Truth. I first heard it on the first anniversary Dome casette, but not sure who spun it there. Don't think it's well known as any time I've spun it people have asked what it was. Great tune IMHO
  9. Funny that, because I think Roy Roberts sounds better at +2 and Halos sounds right just as it is. Horses for courses I suppose
  10. Better than pitching short Oops wrong thread

I think Carol had an East European sounding surname, can't for the life of me remember what it is though.

Don't think so, I was under the impression that Carol & Gerri were white.
  13. Franciscans - Walk To The Bottom Of The Sea Knickerbockers - Wishful Thinking Gene Stridel - Where Does That Leave Me (slower than the Romance Watson version)

Errr Mikey, The Jam did record an instrumental Circus on The Gift

Errrrr If I didn't like a record in the first place I wouldn't have bought it and therefore ipso facto wouldn't be able to play it
  16. Andyf posted a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
It was Romance Watson wasn't it? There's an even slower version by Gene Stridel on Columbia. Have to say Iike both of them, but then I've never been much of a dancer Back to Coral I really like Joanne King - My Baby Left Me which I think was originally covered up as Irma & the Fascinations

Could try here https://www.soulmemorabilia.com/. Not sure about Keep the Faith one though

Royal Esquires on Prix has dropped a bit in price hasn't it and there was also the saga of the Dream Team a while back as well
  19. Certainly got spins at the Dome (Carl Fortnum maybe?) as it appeared on their first anniversary tape, but don't think I've seen it on many if any playlists which is a shame cos it's superb IMO
  20. Got mine off Andy Dyson who reckoned it wasn't easy. Think Shifty had it on a list a couple of years back and I think it was offered on SS as well so there may be a few around. Can't multi task in the DJ-ing/dancing department
  21. Precisions - Instant Heartbreak Soulnotes - How Long Will It Last Toys - I Got My Heart Set On You Willie Harper - But I Couldn't Crampton Sisters - I Didn't Know What Time It Was Plenty of others bubbling under
  22. Yeah Jo used to play this fairly reguarly at Shoes. Good tune probably prefer the other side to be honest. One that always seems to attract interest when I spin it is Carol Woods - Heartbreaker.
  23. El Camino and Goldenway were funded by the same people.I Think CYQ maybe the only release on Goldenway. Jesse Osbourne was an A&R man for Galaxy/Fantasy which is presumably why Sisters Three got hold of CYQ
  24. Quicky: Packing Up - Damon Fox Slowies: Gene Stridel (Is this actually Gene McDaniels?) Where Does This Leave Me? (slower than Romance Watson) Franciscans - Walk To The Bottom Of The Sea
