ATCO is the second press, I've got it on ATCO but dont consider the DAKAR one that much harder IMO............just checked, the ATCO is No DK617 manufactured and dist in Canada by WB, so guess the ATCO one is canadian, therefore gotta be less of them than the US release so should be worth more, no ??

always flip em mate,some hidden gems on the flips,problem is remembering what they are called cos everybody just says the ''other side of so and so '' if you like quality mid tempo then you're in for a nice surprise. same with the Artistics ''this heart of mine''the B side is good but overshadowed by the A side.....IMO

not sure full facts but a lot of them are worth collecting ( and NZ issues ) there is a web site somewhere that has all the info on aussie prssings , nice different labels with different licensing arrangements than Europe in some cases ,and certainly pressed in smaller quantities than main Europe/USA...obviously, hope somone can post the link up cos the site is really interesting

far too many to list off.........we always had a good time when we travelled,still do , best one for me is when Keith Minshull upset my mate at Wigan over the price of a record ( or something ) so he threw a pie at him from the balcony and part of it landed on his neck, it was red hot, and Minsh couldnt get it all out and it was burning away like mad, it took him a little longer than usual to walk to the stage, record box in one hand and a hand on his neck trying to get the hot remnants of a meat and potato pie out of his collar....you had to be there !!!

I'm not saying you even have to be knowledgable Pete but surely you dont just pay the first price you see for a record ?? anyway not my concern....

I agree its common thats why I cant understand why it was listed at £150, how on earth can people 1) ask that for it , and 2) people pay even close to that for it ...and before you say they wont,lets not get into that old chestnut again about people paying silly prices. I really wonder how much people actually know about the value of records when they buy them, yes we all pay too much sometimes but not 5 times as much..

not wanting to question anybodys value of a record,just that I was pricing one in my sales box last night, but ''cant stop running away'' on Mercury is listed at £150 on Arctics sales list, surely not ? I was gonna put £40 on mine which is mint, then I thought hang on am I missing something ? I dont think I am but am I ?? :fool:
