Postage cost to spain
Its about £4 normal air mail, but I would go with Chalky's idea if the record has a high value.

Eloise Laws - Gregory Porter Connection
Gregory Porter on BBC telling his story. Apparently his first major breakthrough came after Eloise Laws got him into a touring musical. Them there Northern favourites get everywhere.

The last record you would sell
Laws of Love maybe, but there are loads from Va-Va's. Particularly Philly stuff.

The last record you would sell
Probably just that they have been my number 1 faves at varying times, along with lots of others, that probably don't invoke the same memories. I might add Johnny Sayles to the list if forced.

Hi Robb to save you the agony of deciding on the last 1000 I'll pop round and take the whole lot in one go. I will of course expect you to cover my expenses for doing you this enormous service and relieving any associated anguish.

The last record you would sell
That's the point, what is it that makes people hang to certain records, above others of equal musical quality ?.

It sure was, probably at the Wheel, definitely at the L'Ambassador in Bradford.

Jackie Lee - Darkest Days - Boot Or Genuine
Maybe someone in the UK just ordered some and ABC pressed them up using new plates, in the same way as Carstairs issues were pressed up for Global in Manchester, using the same plates though.

Poll: Version Battle - Friday night
Given that Don Davis was involved with Groovesville, it wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't the guys originally at Stax, but some of the Grooveville boys. I think JT recorded at United Sound fairly often. Interesting article here, don't know if it's been on here before. https://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/detroit/2016/05/09/detroit-united-sound-systems-forfeiture-i-94-drug-trafficking/84157598/

Poll: Version Battle - Friday night
Or maybe Tempos v Younghearts A Little Togetherness.

Poll: Version Battle - Friday night
The date on the Johnnie Taylor copy above is wrong, JT's version is from 1970 Stax 150 not 1975 Stax 2025 which was a re-release. I know it's still technically seventies, but just wanted to be accurate.

Bobby Freeman
Wasn't there also a pressing of this with smaller lettering or is that the same one you are on about ?.

Record Mailers
