I've never had a problem and also very quick with delivery! Also beeks I'd have thought 99.9% feedback on 48459 transactions may have been a big clue.
  2. 3 on Ebay at the moment. 290262253870 170264598748 320302593187 ignore description on last one, she's just copied it from her other listing. It is the anniversary single for sale.

  5. Just one more from me before work this afternoon. Seeing as a goldmine track has been mentioned, what about those shrine singles from a few years back? Bobby Reed - Caledonia Brown - Shrine/goldmine/soul supply
  6. Where does Horaces label stand with regards to this topic? Tracks like Tommy Hunt - Pretty Part of You, Barbara Lewis - The Stars. Also I've always wondered about the legitamcy of these two: The Mayfield Singers - Don't Start None - Mayfield Moses Smith - Try My Love - Dionn (b/w alternate take of Girl Across the Street)
  7. How about ... Eric & The Vikings - Hurting - Kool Kat (plus others on the single & 12") Linda Jones - Last Minute Miracle - Warner Bros (I think was album track, but single released to promote After Hours CD?)
  8. I saw one in a sales box at the 100 Club Saturday night, for some reason I think it was John Westons (spaghetti weston).

    I wouldn't have thought anymore than £20 - £25, although I've seen demos for £100+, but I'm no expert.
  10. The Following is a review by Dave Flynn, that was in Shades of Soul (May 2002) & on Anoraks Corner Website. Majestic - Send My Baby Back To Me - Equator 1401 Relatively cheap at under £30, although it was once "around" at £8 for quite a while. This track swings as well, but not in an aggressive way, more in a controlled fashion with each musician and backing singer knowing their place. It's fairly sparse instrument wise, yet the sound is strong with a guitar strumming to the fore during the breaks, and a few brass stabs later on to look forward to. Majestic has a fine tenor voice, refined even, as one can understand every word he, and indeed the backing blokes, sing. This is a grower and super soulful! Anyway it made me buy one, hopefully it may make one of you reading this buy it .

If I had the money I'd bid on it. The seller has 100% feedback on 4712 transactions, not as though he's based in Belguim is it (apologies to genuine sellers in Belguim )? If people are worried that their £1000+ records won't be worth as much if loads have been found, why did they buy the record in the first place? If they thought it was worth spending shedloads on it then, what's changed now? Funny how people like to talk about when they get stuff cheap, but don't like to thing they've paid more than was necessary. It's almost as if they expect some sort of refund.
  12. I don't think that it necessarily deters buyers, if someone wants the record bad enough they'll pay the extra postage. Or can't you transfer your paypal balance into your bank weekly (poss inconvenience admittedly), but then if you've no balance they can't reclaim it?
  13. That would be because everyone knows that all soul records made after 23.59hrs on 31st December 1969 are rubbish!
  14. I'm sure that I read on here somewhere that these were two different groups, or am I wrong again?
  15. Talking of anal, a thing I look out for is if DJ's put labels down when submitting playlists. I usually think that this is a tell tale sign to what sort of event it is. I think it should be compulsory on lookbacks to have at least two playlists from each event.
  16. But in my opinion these wouldn't be originals, therefore could not be played at OVO event. By the way I'm just playing Devil's Advocate.
  17. In which camp would those that play carvers of LP & CD tracks fall?
  18. Yet another thread detiriating into who plays what and where, without anyone actually naming anywhere.

I don't buy records to sell, so as to if they're worthless in the future doesn't really bother me (some would say my meagre collection is worthless now). I think the issue is whenever you buy a record, are you buying because you like it or buying it for it's value? I bet most people bought their first ever records because they liked them and not because they'd hope to turn a profit in future years. PS Hope you're keeping well Brett.
  20. Is this the same tune as the Fantastic Four?

Just found a website for The Hesitations seems they're performing in the states. I don't suppose there's any chance of a promoter over here trying to book them is there? >> The Hesitations Website <<
  22. On a similar note, it would be interesting to see what he played. Does youngblood in this instance mean rebelling against the norm and playing what he wants, or playing what's the norm? A playlist of Alex's would be a goodthing, only a thought not a critisicm.
