Can someone post an MP3 of Lovin good feeling for me, cheers. Paul
  3. I'll disagree with this one. I love it. Paul
  4. Sorry again. I've put a note on the original post rather than just changing it. This should emphasise the correction. Paul
  5. Ok keep your hair on. If I have caused offence then I apologise, as far as I know the GRAPEVINE version does not jump. I accidently typed GRAPEVINE when I should have typed GOLDMINE. The clue was in the fact that I mentioned "Various CD versions" and "Master CD version" I also know that the Black Magic version has nothing to do with good taste. In fact I was in Russ's shop when Mr Soussan was playing his demos of this, Paula Roussell, Thumb a ride and other travesties(not that any of this has any bearing on my original error) Paul
  6. Not on Supremes A Go Go album, Just checked. Paul

Aw c'mon Russ in our day we could do it surely I love it because it almost could have been "Northern" Paul

Does Glen Cambell "Gentle on my mind" count? the first line is "It's snowing that you door is always open" etc Since You Showered Me How To Be Happy - Jackie Wilson Pour Unfortunate Me - JJ Barnes Or really, 2 proper ones It Keeps Rainin' - Fats Domino Surrounded by A Ray Of Sunshine - Samantha Jones Paul

That's funny, I could never get over the fascination with Disco records at a "Northern" night. There were hundreds of clubs that you could listen to this type of thing in Paul
  11. Always thought this was their best Northern track Pinky Perky People That S Why.mp3 Paul
  12. Sent one, did you get it? If you need better, PM me Paul
  13. When I got my copy on GM many years ago I noticed the vocal is slightly different to the one I was used to(UK Ember). The GM Copy appears to be the same as the one on CD(Torch Story) but I've just dug the UK re-issue out on Bulldog and It is probably the Ember version. No "yeh" and "c'mon baby now" during the intro. Paul
  14. I've just dug the vinyl out of storage and there is a question I have about the above track. When I got various CDs with it on, at the end of the middle "Rap?" bit the CD versions appear to jump. Where my vinyl (yellow trans boot/reisssue etc) doesn't. Anyone else noticed this, is it a different mix or a fault in Grapevines(this should read GOLDMINE, and is an error) "master" CD version?. Paul
  15. There was also an album called Funky Bottom Congregation, that had Herb Ward "Honest To Goodness" on it. Used to have a copy. Can't remember if there were any other good tracks on it. Paul
  16. Is this rare, I picked it up years ago in Woolworths in Jacksonville. And Apart from the pressing I believe it is the only release of JATGG. It's a pity the vocalist is so "nasal" there are a couple of other "northern" tracks. Paul
  17. Around the time of Ellusive, I'm sure they split and some members formed Liquid Gold who Had a hit with "Dance Yourself Dizzy" just something I haerd at the time. Paul
  18. It's already been mentioned, but when they started playing Hawaii 5-0 thought WTF! then they discovered a vocal by Ole Sammy Davis?????????????? Very strange Paul

In the 80s, people were shocked to read that loveable US comedy actor Jerry Lewis used to badly beat his kids. Haven't they heard "My Hearts Symphony" Paul
  20. While we are on the subject of posibly mythical releases, What about The Volumes "I just can't help myself". Did it come out on Pama? Paul
  21. Obviously mixed the description up with his other item "I Can Hear Music" by Larry Lurex. Freddie Mercurys alter ego. Unless he knows different?. Paul

Surely '60s rock played at the time alongside the Mitch Ryders etc. Yeh, good dancer from way before Bob Seagar hit the big time. And IMHO certainly not the worst played in the name of Soul. Paul
  23. Pete Cross gave me a Beverly Anne "You've Got Your Mind" maxi single with Ray Paige etc. He was still a W*nker though. Paul
  24. This makes a change from the usual "when I went to Wigan/Cleethorpes/Torch" type threads. The old when I went to various Nautical Training establishment crap Thursday night discos is a bit more exclusive. I remember a certain board member being told not to bring any more records because no one danced to them. It was probably the fact that the top DJs hired at HMS Collingwood. used to play the wrong sides. Laugh, I nearly didn't start. Paul(Jimmy)
