Rem Records Detroit
So is it REM (one word) or R.E.M. (acronym)? And what does it mean? Cheers Richard
-
Yvonne Vernee - Sonbert
Wish I had this record so that I din't have to ask a question about it The other side of this is "I'm In Love" and if I recall correctly it's the same song as "So Much In Love" which came out on Correc-tone 3178 - right? But are the two versions identical or are there any differences in the recordings? Thanks for any information. Cheers Richard

Quotations
Great record - had this one since I was a kid Never played the flip I think I should now. Richard

Flaming Arrow/crow Labels
The label address was 10049 Terry, Detroit. Both labels owned by Eugene Davis. I think the doubt about the Detroit connection isn't where the labels were based, but about where some of the tracks were recorded. Some interesting controversy too around the origin of one of the best tracks on Flaming Arrow - Nancy Butts - I Want To Hold Your Hand Baby (I Get Lonely). Cheers Richard

The Most Authentic Bootleg/counterfeit?
There are a few differences in the vinyl and details on the label - the main thing to look for on the dead wax of the original is the 'Bed' logo (like on MGM). Here's an old thread on it - there might be others if you search the forums. Hope this helps. Cheers Richard

The Most Authentic Bootleg/counterfeit?

Must be on here somewhere. If it is apologies Trying to pin down which of Betty Lavette's 60s recording were definitley Detroit jobs and which were done elsewhere. Thinking Lu-Pine, Big Wheel, Calla especially etc. etc. Cheers Richard

What!?! - nobody voted for Geo-Si-Mik That was my possible vote - but then I thought on volume they maybe did not do that much compared to others. Good poll this and looking forward to the final. Richard
