  1. So is it REM (one word) or R.E.M. (acronym)? And what does it mean? Cheers Richard
  2. Wish I had this record so that I din't have to ask a question about it The other side of this is "I'm In Love" and if I recall correctly it's the same song as "So Much In Love" which came out on Correc-tone 3178 - right? But are the two versions identical or are there any differences in the recordings? Thanks for any information. Cheers Richard
  3. Great record - had this one since I was a kid Never played the flip I think I should now. Richard
  4. The label address was 10049 Terry, Detroit. Both labels owned by Eugene Davis. I think the doubt about the Detroit connection isn't where the labels were based, but about where some of the tracks were recorded. Some interesting controversy too around the origin of one of the best tracks on Flaming Arrow - Nancy Butts - I Want To Hold Your Hand Baby (I Get Lonely). Cheers Richard
  5. On now - Wednedsay night 7-9pm. Dean and Gez live in the studio so tune in folks! Listen online here: https://www.tulip-radio.co.uk/ Cheers Richard

  11. You gone off the track then Sammy
  12. I got the first edition at the time - was there a second or third? Richard
  13. There are a few differences in the vinyl and details on the label - the main thing to look for on the dead wax of the original is the 'Bed' logo (like on MGM). Here's an old thread on it - there might be others if you search the forums. Hope this helps. Cheers Richard
  14. Never been convinced about this one existing - anyone know what the distinguishing features of the bootleg WDJ are please? Cheers Richard
  15. Cheers mate - all the detail I need and more - will give that a proper read later Richard
  16. And as artists - The Brothers of Soul.
  17. Must be on here somewhere. If it is apologies Trying to pin down which of Betty Lavette's 60s recording were definitley Detroit jobs and which were done elsewhere. Thinking Lu-Pine, Big Wheel, Calla especially etc. etc. Cheers Richard
  18. Well said Ady - a very fitting and appropriate tribute Richard
  19. Right! I deleted my original vote and voted for Geo-Si-Mik Man they did some good tracks - George Clinton - Sidney Barnes - Mike Terry Theresa Lindsay - I'll Bet You Parliaments - Heart Trouble Tony Michaels - Picture Me And You OK - what else?
  20. Jean Carter on Sunflower Richard
  21. It's that time of the week again On now - 7pm - 9pm Dean and Gez in the studio so tune in for some great soul music and a few laughs! Listen online here: https://www.tulip-radio.co.uk/ Cheers Richard
  22. Mikki Farrow on Karate is a decent bootleg which could fool someone who didn't know what they were looking for. Cheers Richard
  23. The link just goes to Manship's current auction page
  24. What!?! - nobody voted for Geo-Si-Mik That was my possible vote - but then I thought on volume they maybe did not do that much compared to others. Good poll this and looking forward to the final. Richard
