The Cavaliers
Hi Lattrice, If you email me at ady.croasdell@acerecords.com I'll send you copies of the CDs we issued the Cavaliers tracks on. Great info on Mickey Robb. Is there a story behind that? I see one of the other writers Joe Marls had some slight involvement at Motown later.

The Cavaliers
I found the Cavaliers tapes at RCA in NYC apart from We Go Together which turned up in Shelley Haims tapes. I first played Ooh It Hurts Me at the 100 Club off a newly made acetate. OOS issued it some years later as a 45 - without so much as a nod of recognition or a promo, I might add!

Events - Uk lockdown extended topic - June 2021
Ahead of the inevitable government announcement this afternoon, we have cancelled the July 3rd 6TS 100 Club all-nighter. Any tickets already bought will be held over for the August 14th all-nighter; if anyone needs a refund email Ady at ady.croasdell@btinternet.com We are not expecting many extra tickets to become available and if there are any, they will be offered to the people on the waiting list for July 3rd tickets first. If any more come up for grabs we will announce it down the line but don’t really expect any. We are not issuing any tickets to new customers at this point which is tough on people who wish to attend, but we cannot exceed the allowed numbers, particularly at such a sensitive time. Please don’t try and book tickets for future dates, we will only sell them once announced. Thanks for your understanding Ady & Matt www.6ts.info Thanks Mike

Dean Parrish RIP
Did it actually come out?

Dean Parrish RIP
The record company that licensed it would not have known where to send the royalties as he was not registered anywhere by then

Jon Buck . Sad News.
He was also a constant at the very first 6ts dances and became our semi-official photographer who Randy affectionately dubbed Don Cluck for that role

Jon Buck . Sad News.
A hugely respected promoter whose RSG dances recruited so many new souls to the scene in the 80s. It’s a great loss. Ady

Ben E. King - Gettin' To Me
Can’t remember that. But sounds like me lol, I don’t ever REMember Ben commenting on it and unless a rogue acetate turns up the other unissued are probably destroyed in the fire. Pretty sure this was one of the three tracks cut at the Where’s The Girl 45 session

Maxine brown appearances?
You’re probably thinking of Chuck
-
Maxine brown appearances?
No one in 97 just her. In 2003 she was on there again with Dean Parrish for his first ever Northern Soul gig

Dave Kilworth, RIP.
Crazy geezer who livened up our lives; it's sad he's gone, especially in such a tragic way
-
Jean Battle; Mojo 45 Blues & Soul
Thanks John, I knew about Jesse but hadn’t realised he was still so active
-
Jean Battle; Mojo 45 Blues & Soul
Thanks both, not much to add to Jean but the Jerry McCain is interesting. The Ronn/Paula releases were strictly in-house Shreveport recordings but Showtime did have a release on Romulus on him. Cheers
