I Think it happens on the breaks / funk scene but dont think mixing of northern tunes would go down too well

You would have to get a deposit equal to the cost of the records , just in case they got stolen lost or were not returned ;) Insurance is ok you may get the money value back but some of these tunes are unreplaceable
  6. May have been chewed by someone
  7. I have bought a few that look like they may have been
  8. To bring in a "named " dj with the originals costs money , plus maybe travelling expenses etc , to get a young kid playing boots costs next to nothing as they will do it to get to dj or £10/20 , more money to the promoter and the majority of the dance floor doesn't care
  9. If you turn up with 20 mates all willing to pay a fiver and put the best part of a score over the bar there is a good chance the promoter will give you a spot even if you play yhe slipmat
  10. the delbert and the stewert sensation sold on ebay in feb for £137 , strange world of northern soul
  11. buy some boots , start your own event , become a promoters mate or alternatly buy some good records , make up a cd or tape of some of them ( dont put all titles on there or full versions to stop people buying them before you can play them after your hard work of tracking them down ) , send tape to promoters locally to you , ask to do the warm up / graveyard shift at events you attend dont think you will expect to get the 10/11 o clock sets to play a load of classic oldies etc but remember there is a lot of you dj at mine i will dj at yours type of deals done so the promoters can keep more money etc

His last list was great , think i tried for about 9 on there lol , got a few though
  16. I got a record by breadknife that i thought was a boot , turned out to be a carver
  17. The moses smith is a bit like the beige porgy and the monarchs reissue , If you play one side of the unissued track it that is acceptable and good to show people you are playing newly released undiscovered tunes , should you flip it over then expect to be tarred and feathered and cast adrift into the baggies and badges classic oldies nights forever
  18. no bootleg reissue whatever you call them should be anymore than the cost of a carver as neither are originals
  19. I thought there was 99 pressed to avoid the tax and then the masters were destroyed
  20. Rainy days sold on ebay for 99p and 2.00 on completed listings
  21. suspicion or this love starved heart David, we'll take Suspicion as your first answer, in a Pop Master style.....
  22. No matter what you do ebay can not get someone to post a record if they dont want to . You can put in a complaint to let ebay know but thats it
  23. The thing is that there is nothing you can do to make him post the record. Just leave bad feedback for him. Has one on here where seller listed a record rang them and it was available then when I wanted to pay the amount they listed for they said it was a mistake and would not sell it
  24. It is the b side of something new to do , you may have more luck searching for the a side on warner brothers i think
