chico holiday follow the sun - meadowbrook records , b side is lisa jane i played this at the crown on lincoln road peterborough about 2 months ago , my mate russ who dj's at st neots football club went mental over this . he found a copy at prestatyn filed under the b side cheap. he played this in the sales room and a couple of people asked what it was. i saw this once on an ian levine playlist before he retired again i paid 60 for my copy years ago from richard domar my mate picked it up as an unknown at prestatyn for £15 one was listed on ebay for 300 when levine played it

adding northern soul to a descirption just hypes up the item i have sold identical soul 45s , one i put on for 6 quid and just listed as a boot sold for £6 , the other i started at 4 pounds and hyped it up as a wigan northern stomping dancer 110 mph etc and this made £34 were the same record listed within a month of each other. its just a way of moving the crap 45s easier
  14. wonder why a magazine on collecting is so far out on soul prices , it mentioned a couple of issues ago barbar mcnair on tmg is worth 200 - 250 , surely a 400 pounder now a days

well steve jeffries had a copy on his latest e mail list for a grand and bootleg acetates of it for £ 35 hmmmmmm
  19. he seems to have alot of the swinging singing counts as the price seems to be dropping gradually dont know if its been booted but still a good track
  20. a snipe bid is one that is bid automatically via a program in the last dying seconds of an auction ie 5- 10 seconds before auction finishes to avoid the bidder getting outbid or having the price pushed up it usually costs the bidder about 1 % of total amount commission to use this program you can have no bids and then get 4 or five in the last minute so you think you are getting a crap price for your item during the week but in the last few seconds the price can rocket
  21. i've just started reading young gifted and black the history of trojan records by michael de koningh and in there the following information was published edited abit to save space in 1960 buster left coxsons employment to set up his own sound system blah blah blah the object was to play records which would get the crowd moving , the more exclusive the sound the more likely it was to gain the support of the crowd , coxton dodd was playing coxsons hop and coxsons shuffle. these were actually us r&b discs whos labels had been blanked by willis jackson (later for gator ) and harold land ( san diego bounce) these downbeat exclusives kept rivals at bay , with no indication of the real title even if you could get cllose enough to see it the others would have to find more exclusive sounds to fight back so it seems people were covering up old us records on the other side of the world where they probably havent heard the term northern soul
  22. i traded the pic and bill for 225 with nick brown after listing it on ebay , had 15 watchers but only 1 bid pic and bill were members of the firery spartans if the info on another site is correct but then released the 45 in thier own name
