Us 6ts Company Sleeves
Nick, You got any "unusual ones"? Most of what you've lited are pretty common labels, but had different designs. You got a full RED Jamie Guyden? Regards, Dave www.theresthatbeat.com www.hitsvillesoulclub.com

Err, not strictly true. Check out M-1011 or a number of others that weren't white (not the all of them anyway). Pedantic - Yep, I suppose so but it's all good fun innit? Regards, Dave www.theresthatbeat.com www.hitsvillesoulclub.com

You can subcribe to the mag on the website at: https://www.theresthatbeat.com/adrates.html Think you'll enjoy it Brian, don't let the lad get hold of it, make him buy his own! Uk Grapevine Wanted...all Of Them
Hi Pete, Nice one. Yep, there's some drivel in there that's for sure.. I notoced you had John Drevars down as a 'Tailor Made"? I wouldn't have thought this fell into that cataegory, unless of course it was a "version". Surely the original MGM issue was released in the mid 60s? Also...the Milton Wright B Side IS called "Like A Rolling Stone" but it's not the Bob Dylan song. It's a Wright penned instrumental string laden dancer in a similar vein to The Gallop. Good reads Mate. I remember when you did the Grapevine piece, didn't it appear in UK's Record Collector? Regards, Dave www.theresthatbeat.com www.hitsvillesoulclub.com

Demures
Hi, A definite tough one on issue I reckon. I've never physically seen an issue. I've been offered 500 for my demo but turned it down. Is it being played again per chance? Great girlie dancer either way. Regards, Dave www.theresthatbeat.com www.hitsvillesoulclub.com

New Record Review
Hey Gabriel, Thanks for the positive feedback Mate, it's appreciated. There's a full revamp of the site happening after the Weekender in Orlando. We're also working on a series of websites for artists that should be up in the autumn with a bit of luck. Hope you enjoy the mag (posted out 20th August). ANY feedback is ALWAYS welcome. Good or bad, it don't matter, long as it helps us improve and develop. Thanks again... Regards, Dave www.theresthatbeat.com www.hitsvillesoulclub.com

Mel Williams
The issue is tougher in my experience. How come all the demos I've ver had/seen of this have the promo part of the text scrubbed out with marker pens? Has anyone a Demo that hasn't been defaced? Regards, Dave www.theresthatbeat.com www.hitsvillesoulclub.com

Soul Stars In Sport
- Out On The Floor
Suprising what get's people "At It!" Impressions - You've Been Cheating Curtis Mayfield - Move On Up Are just two that even after 30 years when I do hear them out loud on the odd occasion always bring a smile to my face. Although it's partly the memories they evoke it's mainly because they are are just so damn good!! That's what's so great about this music. $1.00 records can slide next to $1000.00 records with complete impunity. The intro to JJ Barnes's Please Let Me In Stevie Wonder's Uptight, Del Larks' Job Opening, Joe Jama, Robby Lawson......Man, the list is endless, all have that magnetic effect on my feet. Hope they never lose it too! Regards, dave www.theresthatbeat.com www.hitsvillesoulclub.com- Martha Reeves @ Wigan
Hi Col, That's how I remembered it too. (Not Ava The Raver I hasten to add!) Regards, Dave www.theresthatbeat.com www.hitsvillesoulclub.com- Few Nice Bits For Sale
