  1. Chantels "Indian Giver" on VERVE.
  2. Yes, Germany as well. At least one 45 on Metronome: Pic & Bill - Just A Tear / Sad World Without You - METRONOME M 25019 See scans below. Another bizarre thing is that there was a famous swedish artist that covered "Sad World Without You" in 1969. Was only released on an EP featuring three other artists as well (one of them Downliners Sect with a unique tune, only released on that swedish EP).
  3. "Cressa" surely is a mis-spelling on the Cascade label compilation LP? All her 45's spell her name Cresa.
  4. Despite its rarity, that Cresa Watson 45, CHARAY 90, exists with two different b-sides - "Salvation" on one of them and "If You've Stopped Loving Me" on the other. Both feature "You're No Good" as the a-side.
  5. What do you mean with Almeria being a "boutique label"?
  6. Here he is rehearsing it prior to the Dig Deeper gig in NYC: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10200136369312786 Some footage from the gig: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10200295371887751
  7. Only 3-4 hours to go on these auctions now: https://www.ebay.com/sch/pushkings/m.html Thanks for looking!
  8. There's now about 2 days left on these auctions: https://www.ebay.com/sch/pushkings/m.html
  9. Valli's vocal might be superior, but the production on the Timebox version is absolutely fantastic. It sounds gigantic. The Four Seasons version sounds like a poor demo in comparison.
  10. Hello! I've listed a bunch of records on eBay. There are label/sleeve scans and soundclips to everything. Check them out at: https://www.ebay.com/sch/pushkings/m.html Thanks for looking! Take care. /Sebastian
  11. Here you go:
  12. If it's of any help to you, a copy of the Belgian issue fecthed $160 on eBay six months ago.
  13. For some reason I can't get the soundfiles on the site to play, but here are direct links to the 30-second soundclips: https://s3.amazonaws.com/Daptone/Previews/THE%20IMPRESSIONS/01%20Rhythm.wav https://s3.amazonaws.com/Daptone/Previews/THE%20IMPRESSIONS/02%20Star%20Bright.wav
  14. I understand what you mean, and I agree to a point, but I'd put money on that probably 95% (or more!) of Metallica's fans had never heard the Budgie version, or the original version of Diamond Head's "The Prince" for example. Exactly in the same way that 95% of the people that dug Mayer Hawthorne's version of "Maybe So, Maybe No" hadn't heard of The New Holidays. It's a way of paying tribute to your heroes or alerting people to good songs. From a "rock" perspective I've always loved when my favourite bands have recorded some covers as b-sides etc. If nothing else, it gives you a glimpse of their own record collections. And when it comes to a gigantic group like Metallica, the sheer impact of them recording a cover of an obscure NWOBHM tune is immense.
  15. That is such a fantastic piece of music in the same vein as much of Dan Penn's 60's stuff. I love it!
  16. Just stumbled upon this... the clip is a The Cowsills tune from 1967, but (oddly!) between 1:55-2:10 in the clip there is 1973 footage that I've never seen before from a pressing plant where 25-count boxes of Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On" and Edwin Starr's "You've Got My Soul On Fire" are being packaged. Not very important, but weird and a bit interesting I thought...
  17. Really? "Dancing All Night" is still widely unknown. If I had a spare copy and I'd stick it on a properly advertised eBay auction with a soundclip it wouldn't surprise me if it sold for a couple of hundred dollars.
  18. I have the 7" of Ike Strong's "Boogie Land" vocal b/w instrumental on WILLKERR. Will dig it out and put up a scan. I've only ever seen it for sale once and that was when I bought it. Would probably go cheaper than the MABLE 7" if it turned up, but it's far rarer. There's a 7" by Infinity on WILLKERR as well.
  19. That is indeed a very obscure 45. I've only seen it for sale a couple of times. As for value, I have no idea, but still "under the radar" to most people I'd guess. That group released an LP as well: https://djsoulparanos.blogspot.se/2012/05/good-intentions-those-good-intentions.html
  20. Slightly off-topic, but does anyone know if Ike Strong's "Boogie Land" was first issued as the flipside on the MABLE 7" or on the WILLKERR 7" (which also seems to be a lot rarer than its 12" counterpart).
  21. The version by Naturals on SHOUT is also decent. I personally like the country version by Linda Martell as well.
  22. It's a cover of the same tune, but Hunt's Determination Band has got a totally different backing track.
  23. No, but the other side "I Need Love" does.
