Losing 45`s In The Post
When I have 45s sent to me registered from the UK to Sweden I always ask the sender NOT to send it by "airsure". As you wrote, "airsure" doesn't require a signature when delivered, the package is simply slipped through the mailbox just like an ordinary non-registered package. I fail to see how the seller can prove that the package has been delivered when using "airsure". They might be compensated by Royal Mail if the package goes amiss, I don't know, but from a buyers perspective who wants to recieve the 45 rather than getting a refund it's a crap piece of service and not worth paying extra for.

The Temprees - (Artist Of The Week)
- Patrick Adams P&p Records
The claim that it was released in 1977 is probably due to an error (or assumption) in a discography that has been copied and copied and copied. The actual 45 looks NOTHING like a 1977 release. It looks and feels like a late 60s release and the typesetting and layout looks a whole lot more like other late 60s/early 70s releases on tiny New York labels.- New Podcast For March 2012

Fantastic tune!- Cleaning With Glue Pt. 2
Try to find an old turntable that has the option to spin 16rpm records as well. Probably would make it a lot easier. Good luck!- Cleaning With Glue Pt. 2
Just a thought: if you let the turntable rotate while applying the glue, the centrifugal force will propel the glue outwards causing more spillover than if the record was still. At least have it on 33rpm instead of 45rpm.- Cleaning With Glue Pt. 2
Totally off-topic, I know... but if anyone has got the other Mighty Ryeders 45 on Sun-Glo for sale, please PM me.- They Sold A Million

That's a bootleg CD. Might as well just burn your own CDr.- So Who Was The First White Act 'signed' To Motown
Using that reasoning, The Temptations wasn't "signed" to Motown until 1980. Yet I think most people would consider their recordings for Gordy and Miracle during the 60s and 70s to be "Motown recordings". The Motown label was started after Tamla.- So Who Was The First White Act 'signed' To Motown
Nick And The Jaguars is the correct answer. They were not signed to the label, but did a one-off 45 on Tamla in August 1959.- Ken Williams +the Babysitters
Some info here from an old thread: You can go up and read some of the posts above that one as well for more.- Al Johnson & Angela Coulter On B.p.s. Soul City
It sure is! (but I would say that, I guess... ).- The Volcanos - Youre Number 1
I'll take 50 copies at £15, please. No one who knows how to properly sell records should have any problems getting £100 or more for either the demo or issue of "Your Number 1" on original Arctic. The issue is very rare, I've only ever had one copy of that one but sold it when I got myself a demo. "Make Your Move" is not in-demand with garage collectors (I don't know where the origin of that info comes from, but it's been quoted for ages) plus it was issued as the flipside on three different Volcanos 45s (this was its third appearance) so wouldn't be the reason that drives up the price.- King Earnest Earnest King
Yes. The release on the LK label is in stereo and is from 1976 and has also got a different flipside.- Etta James - Can't Shake It - On 45?
Fantastic track! PLEASE, don't release it on an EP. A proper 2-track 45 will have much better/louder sound. - Patrick Adams P&p Records
