  4. That's apparently a different group. That also goes for the Pacesetters 45s on KENT and CORREC-TONE plus the Lovers 45s on AGON, CHECKER and HERMITAGE.

  7. I don't see that happening anytime soon. It will take a lot of work, time and investments to achieve something like that. You have to create access to a bigger market than what eBay can offer and charge lower fees than what they do. You have to steer ALL buyers and ALL sellers away from eBay. I think that is nigh on impossible. The total eBay+PayPal fees when listing on the .com site (with .co.uk visibility) usually comes to about 11%-12% of the selling amount. In my opinion that's not a lot considering the services they offer you, and it's less than what most other auction sites (or re-sellers that sells on commission) charges. I think eBay is superb for both buying and selling. Sure, their feeback system and postage "rules" are a joke, but as far as access to records and convenience when selling/buying goes I think they're great 99% of the time. I find it seriously odd that so many of you think that eBay should offer their services pretty much for free. It just doesn't make sense.
  8. Once again I prefer the flipside... "Love Meets No Stranger" sounds much better to my ears as far as northern plays goes. Great double-sider in any case and very rare/obscure as well.
  9. I guess so, but people in general seems to be fairly honest about these things. Out of 1000 packages sent uninsured I usually get some kind of problem with about 2-3 (or less) of them and I suspect that in those rare cases the packages actaully did get lost in the postal system somewhere. It's not often that I feel that the buyer is "trying it on". Those are just my experiences though. Also, I never send out packages between 18th December and 2nd January. It's just too risky.
  10. No. According to eBay's guidelines: "Even if the item was not insured, you are still responsible for the item until the buyer receives it."
  11. It's a monster of gigantic proportions! An absolutely pummeling tune when played loud in a club! One of my all-time instrumental faves.
  12. I totally agree, a fantastic album indeed. Have been playing the hell out of it over the past couple of months. Here it is for those of you with Spotify:
  13. Popsike lists 4 copies sold during the past 6 years (but none sold during the past 3 years): 2006-10-01 - $1592 (m-) 2006-09-05 - $1677 (vg+) 2005-12-05 - $1026 (vg+) 2004-12-21 - $1075 (vg) If a M- copy turns up on eBay it will probably fetch much more than £1000.
  14. It's an offical release out of Belgium. Released by ARS Entertainment which is a part of Universal. Here's the TV commercial:
  15. Here's a CHA CHA discography: https://www.globaldogproductions.info/c/cha-cha.html
  16. Haha! Great minds... and all that!
  17. How about these? CHA CHA 766 - Otis Bush And The Crusaders - Sock 'Em With A Good Foot / So Much Love CHA CHA 778 - Otis Bush - So Much Love / Someone To Love

It was a nice surprise when I realised that the exact same recording of "When I'm Ready" that was issued as a Mill Evans 45 on TOU-SEA is included on that Esquires album. One side of his CONSTELLATION label 45 is also on the LP.
  19. It is indeed nice, but I personally prefer the flipside "Back To School". It has got the same backing track as "Show Stopper" but different vocals that in my opinion fits better with the backing track.

This was a massive hit record and there are at least 5 copies on eBay at any time: https://desc.shop.ebay.com/Records-/306/i.html?LH_TitleDesc=1&LH_PrefLoc=2&_nkw=harvey+scales+%22get+down%22&_catref=1&_dmd=1&_dmpt=Music_CDs&_fln=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m282 Shouldn't cost more than $5-$10. The flipside "Love Itis" is superb as well.
  21. It refers to the three major industry magazine charts at the time: Billboard, Cashbox and Record World.
  22. The US and Holland 7" releases have got the exact same version of "Do Ya Got What It Takes" as on the LP. The LP version of "How's Your Love Life Baby" is however a slightly longer edit than on the 7".
  23. Great 70s dancer in my opinion! It did get a US 7" issue, but it is quite hard to find because it sold poorly and "Do Ya' Got What It Takes" was only included on the issue copies. The demo copies has got stereo/mono versions of the (also good) "How's Your Love Life Baby". So make sure you get an issue copy if you're going for the US issue. Here's the info: Jackie Moore - How's Your Love Life Baby / Do Ya' Got What It Takes - COLUMBIA 11140 Here are scans of the US 7": Was also issued in Holland with a sleeve:

  25. Have in mind that the P-VINE release is a reissue though, from about 10 years after its TURBO issue.
