Don't know if it's common knowledge, but there's another Jonathan Capree 45 as well. Not in the same league as the OX BOW release, but "To Be Free" is a decent quirky mod dancer...

Probably pressed the same day (or at least same week) but at different pressing plants.

Probably because it was her last 45 on Warner Bros for the next three years (she just did one more 45 on WB, in 1968). Her last Warner Bros LP, "Softly, The Brazilian Sound", was issued in 1964. I think that in 1965 by the time that "Don't Pity Me" was released they didn't know how to market her and were glad to terminate her contract (or at least put it on "hold"). The TV gig was most likely just a routinely scheduled thing or a last-minute promotion push to try to get her career jumping again.

I've always found it strange that "I Don't Have The Time To Love You" was the side that got spins considering its slow pace. As far as dancefloor fodder goes I much prefer the pounding flipside "Don't Use Me": /more/soul-library/george-jackson-dont-use-me A superb double-sider in any case!

The original white demo was pressed on styrene. The bootleg white demo was pressed on vinyl.

No, that's a different tune. The Howard Peters track is just called "Soulville". I really like the other Howard Peters 45 on Coral "Tighten Up The Slack". Here's Chuck Edwards:

There were four different bidders that bid over £150 in this particular auction.

But "Someone To Fulfill My Needs" isn't on the Brent release. Don't know if it's on the Peentowne issue. It's only included on one of the Deep City releases (#2367). "One Little Dance" was issued twice on Deep City, as #2367 and #2374.

The few times I've seen it sell on eBay it has fetched £300-£400. It is valued to £700 in Manship's guide. A seriously rare and superb piece of vinyl.

There is possibly some TV footage in existence of Billy Sha-Rae. He appeared on a US TV show called "The Lively Spot" together with the MC5 and a couple of other artists and at about 2:18 in the following (absolutely incredible!) MC5 clip the host of the show says something along the lines of "...stay tuned for more performances by Little Milton Campbell, Billy Sha-Rae, Anne Murray and more to come!": Has anyone ever seen the Billy Sha-Rae TV clip? I wouldn't mind seeing it!

Yes, same group. Did they release anything else apart from the two 45s on GOODTIME and the one on MERCURY? All three 45s are superb in my opinion. Perhaps they morphed into some other group or members went solo?

Good version indeed. I've always found it kind of bizarre that they did a cover of such an obscure tune as the flipside of The Seven Souls "I Still Love You".

Aren't the PM and UNITED ARTISTS releases the exact same version? A version was also issued on the MT label in 1982:
