Well ... after trying for too many years I have just spoken to Dennis Anderson ... brother of Bobby and obviously one-half of the Anderson Brothers It was a random call on my part because he has never picked up before, he said he never usually picks up his house phone, but tonight he did .. so I was caught off-guard .. didn't have my recording equipment ready but he's given me his mobile number so l'm going to call him back ... any questions you want asking drop me a message Short story ... before they were the Anderson Brothers they were in a group called Trieste ... Bobby on lead and Dennis on bass ... that fell apart but they had been noticed by Ray Dahroughe so teamed up with him and recorded 'I Can See Him Loving You' in 74 ... he couldn't remember which studio in NY but recalls Joe Renzetti was organising the strings and Bernard Purdie was on drums & sortng the rhythm section He said he, and his brother, personally drove around to radio stations to drop of DJ copies and he heard it played just a couple of times on the NJ/NY radio stations .. but it never took off ... and I specifically asked him if it ever got into the shops and did he see or own a beige label stock copy .. he said no .. he only ever had a black/white promo .. just the one copy that his ex-wife now has and won't return/has destroyed .. so he believes it never got beyond DJ copies due to the lack of interest ... so me saying I've seen a stock copy, in previous threads makes me doubt my memory Anyway ... he then told me that Dennis & Bobby reformed Trieste, in 76, and did an updated version, with Ray Darhoughe, on IX Chains with Bobby on lead vocal ... so the Anderson Bothers returned in disguise ! I'll update if he answers next time I call him Andy- Jackie Wilson The Silent One

I always thought it was Mike ... so when I read it was Willie Mitchell that confused me ... never heard Willie play sax like that .. my gut, and my big ears, always said Mike- Jimmy Radcliffe -LATIAO - Italian version

Sorry to be late in responding 1. The Supremes ' You Keep Me Hanging On' was released on 12 Oct 66 ... 'We Can Make It' was done on Sunday 24 September 1967 ... Keith, who passed on last month, played the intro on his guitar ... he said he was "inspired and influenced" by YKMHO as it was a sharp and interesting sound ... so he copied it with his twist 2. answered above 3. No .. but minimum press was 500 for a 45 at that time ... the band said it was in the local record store for a week and they never heard it on their local radio station Will any more copies turn up in quantity ... I doubt it ... I thought Mr Marshall. the group manager, might have any remaining stock given he paid for the session and pressing of the 45 ... but when I finally tracked him down he had just passed .. I talked to his children and they had no knowledge of him being involved in music ... his daughter said she would search the house but told me that a lot of the house had been destroyed in a fire many years ago but he decided to rebuild ... so if he had the remaining stock of the 45 I think they either got incinerated or he binned them And ... yes I did get 3 copies when I went to the USA to meet the guys- World Of Happiness - New 45 - Remastered And A New version
Yes it was edited ... it was 'chopped' about with bits moved around Here's the BMI entry for the song https://repertoire.bmi.com/Search/Search?SearchForm.View_Count=100&SearchForm.Main_Search=Title&SearchForm.Main_Search_Text=i+wish+you+the+world+of+happiness&SearchForm.Search_Type=all I WISH YOU THE WORLD OF HAPPINESS 696359 HOLMAN EDDIE SOLOMON JAMES CAUDWELL Publishers HARTHON ENTERPRISES ... and a scan of the 8" acetate I got from Eddie Holman Andy- Eddie Holland - Love Is What You Make It
I think Pete is totally off-grid ... we've had no contact for years so I'm not able to advise Sorry Andy- Eddie Holland - Love Is What You Make It
I'm pretty sure Pete Lowrie had an acetate of this .. but the CD release was sourced from master tape Andy- World Of Happiness - New 45 - Remastered And A New version
It's good to see the 'real' version getting a release .. as opposed to the 'edited' version that has been available previously The same thought crossed my mind as the Library of Congess song registration records show the writers as below I WISH YOU THE WORLD OF HAPPINESS; w & m Eddie Holman & Saul Solomon (James Solomon) © Harthon Productions; 3Mar66; EU931585 ... it's not unusual to see songs registered some time after they were actually recorded And I listened to my conversation with Shirley again who stated that she recorded the song on 19 Jan 65 .. she remembers it clearly because the next day was her 18th birthday Andy- Ivories Wand '67 / 03 BUT Ivorys Despenza '66 > '68 ?

When I visited Herb Bernstein, in NY, he still had the master tapes for Elbie on his shelf ..which prompted me to ask him who Elbie Parker was .. no revelations I'm afraid .. he said he just knew him by that name Andy- News: Lester Tipton - The Story
