Yeah but that one's an original reissue…………..- News: Pete Lawson 1984 Letter To Blackbeat
So the part of the criticism of Stafford was that some of the music was white pop? Whats the feeling on this now? I never went but as I learnt about what was played probably 10 years later, thats not the impression I got- Oh Dear! Wigan Celebrate Soul
Could people please stop posting shit like this, then I could pretend its not actually happening………………...- Are There B Sides You Still Haven't Played?
Absolutely, KevH slapped my wrist about 10 years ago and told me to always play my b-sides Still getting round to it, I'm going through my collection, playing both sides and recording them to iTunes (where the b-side is good enough ) only up to G at the moment but got loads of examples I could list. Probably the worst example I can think of is that I had a copy of Jimmy Mack (only a soul galore pressing) for 30 years and never played Go On……….- News: Pete Lawson 1984 Letter To Blackbeat

You must have had a sheltered life Phil, coming from a pit town council estate, we swore a lot at school and even more after starting work at the pit aged 16, the girls/women didn't swear that much though and you restricted your language round them. Tattoos - loads of my mates had them, starting from around the age of 15. I wanted to but wimped out (been glad I did ever since) Ear piercing definitely as well, had mine done at 16/17 (left ear only) I reckon the use of "cheers" is a more recent thing though- The Film - Reviews

- Northern Soul The Film - See It At The Cinema
A couple of observations on this article: "If northern soul makes a comeback with this film it will probably be spectacular and brief." "Many young people I’ve talked to describe their frustrations with the mainstream EDM scene in the same way we talked about the disco and nightclub circuits of the Seventies: stale, commercialised, samey and exploitative." ……oh the irony- Is This For Real
Occasionally? He's the most consistently over priced seller I've ever seen - Ive no idea how he sells anything- C4 Paul Mason Asks - Will Northern Soul The Movie Spark A
I was thinking that, as you say with very limited screenings surely 95% of people who see it are those already in the know. Cant see many casual cinema goers just turning up - Comedy Sale Of The Day
