  1. What about Snoopy Dean - Shake & Bump has that ever been played anywhere since Blackpool mecca? I reckon theres loads of mecca & cleethorpes records that havent been played for 30+ years
  2. Where/who was that so I can avoid it/him?
  3. Yeah they're the same everywhere
  4. Most wouldnt be bothered if it was put on a plate for em. If these records were played at my local oldies nights I guarantee there would be a mass walk out and much wailing and gnashing of teeth As has been said, its their loss
  5. rock & roll? lack of soul? Peoples different takes/perspectives on things like this never fails to amaze me
  6. A all the way, cant bear to have scratched, beat up records Sad I know
  7. Its a crazy world, I love half the records on this thread
  8. Jesus thats a new low Back on topic, this thread's about burgers aint it
  9. 1) Dean Barlow -Third window from the left (or is it right?) 2) Lou Lawton - Knick knack paddy (f***in) wank 3) ? - Catch that teardrop Also hate the following not on their musical merits but due to dull unimaginative so called DJ's playing them ad nauseum and turning something I love into a joke 1) Bobby Womack - Home is where.. 2) Philip Mitchell - I'm So Happy pissed off with this 3) Ruby andrews - Just Loving You
  10. Spot on Matt Whats wrong with elitism BTW?
  11. Both good but Rita for me - memories of Wigan and many other places clinches it

Also, slightly off topic - I've posted wants before stating record must be M- and I'm willing to pay x pounds, to be met with PM's offering VG+ / Ex copies for x+10/20/30 pounds

Not all unfortunately, bought a M- record once which looked like it had been skated over. The sellers excuse for gradeing it M- was that it was the best copy of that particular record he'd seen/had
  14. Its all about opinions and Butch is unquestionably no 1 in mine. Also its him who JM is referring to isnt it?
  15. Me either  chantells & aqua lads, psychedelic??
  16. Look at his other items, he's just made a mistake with the decimal point
  17. Ric Tic sleeves? Didn't know they existed
  18. There is a bootleg of this, just bought one which was described as orig. Its vinyl and has a wide run out about 5 or 6 turns with scratched in matrix. Orig is styrene
  19. Check out ROBSBIGCITYSOUL corkin' videos to go with the tunes
  20. Yeah but its not 1975, we've all grown up and matured and should now be able to see the wood from the trees. Its defies belief that something like this could be played when you think of all the quality records that, as Joe says, are criminally overlooked/ignored. Today is the first time I've heard this BTW, thank god I dont go to venues where it would be played
  21. I can see both sides of this argument mate I could have bought the Parliaments - Heart Trouble for 50p off Rob Smith in 1978 but didn't, bought loads of pressing from Sid booths in Mansfield though for 85p during those years. It was just what we did as naive teenagers
