He also gave me a ticket for Maximes (25th Casino jobby) in Standish.

  7. careful mate, the baying mob with flaming torches will be at your door
  8. Believe me Byrney, it aint just the East Mids..... Thankfully i dont run a club. this farce is like a 'mob' rallying together in the frankenstein movies. Nottingham Soul Club is OVO, Cream Cracker is too! and so is the Grand Central in Skeg, probably many more some of you lot need to get out more. Boots or not, i dare say the 'scene' will be dancing to classics long after some of you miserable bleeders have jacked!
  9. Soul in th Sun ............ perfect example. played a lot, usually to a full dancefloor. Awful, best left alone in this case
  10. if i buy an original copy of a record off a seller/dealer, will they personally send royalties to the artist & songwriter? I very much doubt it... same as selling a second hand million seller to a mate or family member! not condoning the playing of boots (which most of us have), this is just a poor excuse to fan flames regarding the topic.. if its a legit format (vinyl,CD MP3 or whatever), then they will hopefully get royalties. but those formats arent allowed by the soul police either? it has to be OVO according to Royalty. all very confusing when the original copies were sold, whether it was 20 or 20,000, the artist got royalties. so where does this fit into the thread argument?
  11. nowt wrong with rockabilly's........i quite enjoy their do's , especially a kick arse live band
  12. I wont respond Dave. i held you in high regard and considered you a friend. because of other parties' , we seem to have lost that friendship. have a good night wherever you'll be
  13. i'll not be playing my CUB issue of 'let me be your boy' then? or my black Bell issue of Bob brady ?? those who frown on UK issues (1st or subsequent) & pukka U.S releases need to get off soap boxes. ridiculous!
  14. well said Kev. hope they find suitable dancers
  15. yep, same bloke who gets spins on the 50's/rockabilly scene
  16. ooooooh California montage. love it!!

  20. Now that guy has some serious record collection. I shared the decks with Rob 2 weeks ago and believe me, i was gob smacked at what was in his boxes,. he needs to head 'up north' more often. not only that, he gets off his perch and hits the dancefloor whilst spinning tunes. thats DJ'ing with the added bonus of enjoying yourself
  21. Yocky plays it too, blinding record !. I've had the Carl Carlton version donkeys years, love that too
  22. anyone got a Monument issue for sale? thanks
