Stylus And Cartridges Please Help
it is said that a lower tracking force can also do damage as the needle does not sit as soundly in the groove & can vibrate from the signal & this can cause wear within the groove as well.

It Ain't Necessarily So

Obscure - unusual Foreign Releases
yes, the belles is that same label, not a lot else as far as soul goes unfortunately, they had a little run on mirwood stuff for a minute, the olympics etc. but the Chants R&B 45s have their fans amongst garage/r&b 45 collectors. not a massive amount of releases to begin with on the label.

Stylus And Cartridges Please Help
problem with the stantons is that stanton no longer sell just the replacement needles for them, you have to buy the cartridge (which you obviously already have) again to get a new needle, so stupid. the cheap aftermarket (not stanton branded) needles for them sound terrible for some reason. anyway, get Shure white labels if you don't want to mess with headshells, they even come with little metal carry boxes to transport them. i had ortofons a while back & the shure's are much better for 45s at least.

Lil Help With A 45
agreed, although maybe $100 is a bit too expensive? i would probably just ask for offers & see what people come back with.

Soul Source Record Of The Day,(Some Say It's The Nights Drawing In?)Late Fall2012
Living proof that some of the best double siders will only run you $5. Gotta love the cheapies.

Moses Dillard And Tex-Town Revue Band
Now is the only LP on them I have had, it's tough to get too. Maybe you're thinking of some stuff he had a hand in producing? Or maybe there's some super common one which I've totally glassed over??
-
Lil Help With A 45
cool, what was the 5k record? bet that made your father's day
-
Lil Help With A 45
well if you can be bothered with that i guess.

Lil Help With A 45
yeah but it is one of those non-desirable kind of "no mans land" sounding 45s from the early/mid 60s. not garage/fuzz enough for those dudes, not mod enough, not R&B enough, not soul enough, just weak in general. like a 3rd rate beach boys/4 seasons/beatles attempt which flies well below them all. not on the radar for any sort of collector i can think of.

Ebay Result! And For The Seller This Time
no, never, as long as the seller receives a parcel back from the buyer it doesn't matter what it is even, once there is proof you've got it or it's been sent back to you or even without proof, as a seller you are not safe from the dreaded paypal chargeback just heard a story regarding discogs where a seller sent a unplayed copy with slight storage warp to germany, buyer got the record then said was not happy with the condition, sent the record back, got the money back from paypal & when the seller received the record back it had miraculously transformed into a well worn VG- copy of the same title selling sucks
