  1. Re: La Louisianne, what do you guys reckon the percentage of Cajun 45s is? Gotta be more than 50% cajun accordian shredfests on there, 75%?

  10. well, you guys are the first two to say anything nice about them other replies have been along the lines of "terribly inaccurate", "abundant misinformation", "very erroneous", "includes records which don't actually exist", "plagiarized all the info from my website without credit", "total garbage", "these guys don't actually collect soul so how can they publish a discog for something they don't collect", "regenerated misinformation" & "especially useless" I will probably save my money for now
  11. it's not on the net that I can find, you'll have to buy the record or hope someone who owns it can upload it (although mp3 uploads are not allowed on soul source).
  12. from eyeball productions. who on here bothers with these? are they worthwhile? how complete are they really?
  13. google amazon manship
  14. all the Prix stock was/is genuine, straight from the label owner's garage. great record, can't remember what pressing I have.
  15. RIP A great voice. It would probably be a good time to add his name to the Trammps Soulful Kind of Music discography page as he is not credited there at all
  16. I had to endure a speech from a guy at a party the other night about how he cleans his 45s with WD40 & it makes them play like new. He was fully serious, I was just nodding politely & smiling. I then told him I didn't know why he was talking to me about this because I don't collect records, he then insisted he had met me once before (he had) & we had talked records (we had), so I insisted he had the wrong guy & changed topic to guitar amps.
  17. ahh, that's the one. by the way they are a great set of dvds whic people should check out if they haven't already.
  18. It's included as bonus footage on one of those European Folk Blues DVDs, I think, I know I have the DVD somewhere. Cool stuff.
  19. it's on LP for much cheaper, the one with all the motorcycles on the cover. the track is great but maybe a bit unnecessary if you have the Roger Collins & Wilson Pickett. In saying that I'm still looking for a clean one to upgrade. Doesn't turn up that often.
  20. i remember a dude i used to see at gigs had "Parlament" in the same writing as the band "Parliament" logo on the back of his neck, cracked me up every time I saw it.
