Irma And The Fascinations
Yeah, there is definitely at least one US dealer currently making fakes using original vintage blanks & doing very well fooling people into buying them. Luckily for us though he doesn't seem to do soul.

Lee Moses "Reach Out" 45 question
It's Lee Moses on the guitar lead. My guess is that the ghost vocal is him singing along as he played the guitar line (similar to when you hear Jimmy Smith humming along with the organ lead on his records). A proper Lee Moses vocal of this would be amazing & I have lost sleep over the fact it doesn't exist :-(

Greenville & Beyond Website
I just spent the last day & a half redoing all the audio links on Greenville & Beyond. All the links from the artist pages should now take you to working Youtube clips for the songs, over 25 of which were not on Youtube before so I had to upload those ones myself. Anyhow, everything is functional from the artist pages (the smaller job of just changing the links on the label pages will be done asap) & up to date as of right now on the site. So delve in & kill some hours https://greenvilleandbeyond.wordpress.com

San Diego shops
it's so weird these days, totally blown out for records, dudes setting up for 12 hour shifts at local spots with laptops & just run all the stock through their computers over a couple of days, some crazy "no stone left ungoogled" nonsense. as a record city SD should be better

San Diego shops
actually the record store in temecula has 45s, but it's a bit of a drive from SD

Don Gardner - My Baby Likes to Boogaloo (Tru-Glo-Town)
amen to that actually, add Amen Brother to that i am still guilty of playing both from time to time though (i think i might have played My Baby Likes To Boogaloo in Seattle with you guys last year) half the time I'll play The Emperors version of My Baby Likes To Boogaloo though.

Truthfully SD is pretty scorched for records (stores anyways) at the moment. Best bet depending on what you're after right now is Folk Arts Records All the others (Record City, M Theory, Red Brontosaurus etc) aren't worth it. Tijuana has at least one great store (La Circuela Electrica) which is cheaper than any of the SD stores.

Very sad news. Session drummer on a lot of classic Chicago Soul 45s as well. Absolute legend.

Satans Breed "road Runner"jenges, Anyone Know The True Value Of This 45?
the circular lines under the label are characteristic of United Record Pressing in Nashville but their stuff can't fool anyone because they all have the small "U" in a circle scratched in the deadwax.

Satans Breed "road Runner"jenges, Anyone Know The True Value Of This 45?
there are a lot of records which people never owned in the 70s/80s or even knew existed which have come to light since. I don't think you can hold that to mean much in this case. Definitely not a new recording to my ears.
