BBC 1 Inside Out - Wigan Casino Segment 10 Feb 2020
At this point is the test press just discovered the rarest copy? Only one of them, but 2 or 3 of the soul demos... Anyway.....the programme achieved its objective. We are all talking about it! Ed

BBC 1 Inside Out - Wigan Casino Segment 10 Feb 2020
Indeed....closer inspection does show a sticky on label over a UK single.... Gawd forbid it's on top of the UK release and played out! Ive got a fake soul copy that Frank did sign...guilty as charged. Ed

BBC 1 Inside Out - Wigan Casino Segment 10 Feb 2020
All roads lead to DILYIID... As only an occasional attendee of the Casino, I cant say I've ever thought the tune and the club being synonymous... I think more afternoon of the rhino, rosemary what happened, and even where I'm not wanted, point first to wigan. Problem is they are not known to the general public. And why is the last night(s) even important. Apart from sentimental punter tears, what records got broke that will forever be remembered as wigan classics? Just feeling a little cynical as to the purpose of the programme subject. Ed

BBC 1 Inside Out - Wigan Casino Segment 10 Feb 2020
No doubt jogged a few memories for a lot of folks. So many years on, it gets less and less relevant in the big picture of northern soul. At least it got a plaque! Ed

Little Anthony & The Imperials (Artist Of The Week)
I remember when the double header got released with b u y h and g f y g in the mid 70s and I played it to death. Obviously the lucky buggers who were around for the original releases were spoiled with all their other sweet soul releases. Not sure how many original imperial's were in the 70s/80s imperial's, but they made some nice soulful tunes as well like ' whose gonna love you've etc. Ed

Soul Street - New Club Soul LP - funky side of northern soul
Individually there's some great tunes here. Played one after the other at a northern soul night, it will clear the dance floor. Ed Individually there's some great tunes here. Played one after the other at a northern soul night, it will clear the dance floor. Ed

Edward Armstead Jr. AKA Eddie Hill RIP
Very Sad. I wonder if Seattle was treated to any renditions of his own classics whilst he was working there. Ed

BBC 1 Inside Out - Wigan Casino Segment 10 Feb 2020
He epitomised Wigan Casino for me. The other djs spread themselves around more. Only went a couple of times, so it would be unfair to judge one way or another. I'd be surprised if anything new gets revealed to all the other programmes made about it. YOU NEVER KNOW! Ed
