Sad news. I saw him quite a few times back in the 60s. He was always very entertaining.

I picked up a copy of Ray Merrill, Tears of joy in a charity shop for a pound a few years ago.

Bought that when it came out. I think I've still got it.

Had some great nights at the Cali. I was there on the last night.

I was after a decent copy of Belita Woods for ages. Every copy I came across was trashed. In the end I ended up settling for a trashed one.

On a cruise I tuned into the on board entertainment on the tv. There were all sorts of genres on offer, I eventually got round to the Rock &Roll section and was amazed to find Charles Sheffield- Voodoo Working.

I couldn’t believe it either.

Coincidentally I played, I’m gonna try, yesterday without knowing she had died. RIP Carol.

About five years ago I was looking through a pile of stuff in a charity shop in Devizes and found some Ray Merrell stuff ,usual c/w and mor stuff. The last one I looked at was Tears of Joy for a pound . Result.😀😁
