Look at the film clip to the new Chicken Run movie Levanna has uploaded to Tic Tok some nice spins and things at the end of the routine from the chicken. It will have some spitting feathers and clucking.

Thoughts on this - I love it
Great track, some nice midtempo tracks on the lp too including the one below.

The Motown Machine
Songwriters signed to contracts, producers and arrangers signed to Contracts, Artists and the musicians all signed to contracts , so I would assume they were left to make music and then the powers that be decided which tracks made it to singles then to the lp tracks. Does seem a lot of great tracks never made it to record but it would be cheaper to can any tracks that the production control thought not suitable for release than to take a punt and put them into production and incur the cost of pressing the records , distribution and promotion only to be left in the deletion bins. And we probably do not appreciate how many records were be released in Detroit on umpteen labels alone every week during the Motown golden years, the record buyers had a treasure trove of soul music to buy but only so much money to spend.

Licensed and Qualified: apparently
I was never a great dancer but what I did was feel the music and as Pete says above it does transport you to another place for that 2 minutes or so. What we see today is over the top dramatics talc thrown about as though it is going out of fashion all for the camera , sad that it as come to this.

Licensed and Qualified: apparently
Sorry to say its the new line dancing, been watching a few videos of old nighters from the 80s 90s and the great dancers on there are few and far between but you could tell they all felt the music unlike the venues these learners will be attending, fake dancing, fake handshakes and stupid clothes.

It's for sale...
Best place for it is the Motown Museum but I would not think the powers that be have much interest in a record they had no desire to release.

Opinions of "younger" NS collectors out there?
Impossible to answer , unless you are a fortune teller. But I am surprised that people think that there is going to be loads kids getting in to music that was mainly made In the 60s/70s the very thing about kids is they want something fresh and exciting. Would we have turned up at Wigan etc if it was full of 60 year olds. Kids might listen to the music on YouTube but that may be it and the format of vinyl will be of little significance to most. Even me as a long time buyer of records 50 years I have no interest in purchasing records anymore , CDs streaming is my format now. Obviously there is kids out there on the scene but they will be a minority. It would be nice though to get an opinion of the younger generation of supporters of the music but there does not seem to be many on here to get any feedback.

Who are the NS record collectors of the future?
Probably be better starting a thread aimed at the teens up to about 30 years old not at the older generations who have been in to the music and scene for decades. Because if not it will be the same as most of your topics just go round in circles and get nowhere.

Damaged records?
Are you keeping them in boxes too big for the amount of records if so packing them with paper etc may alleviate the problem , Bought records for 50 years and never had a problem.
