Seriously, I don't buy into that 50 copies story. It doesn't make sense, from an economical point of view. Maybe they handed out 50 copies during the competition. But they must have pressed more. 50 copies or say 200/300 copies, same price at the pressing plant. I'd guess they had more copies made, handed out 50 for the competition and put the rest into the storage. Just guesswork, but if there were only 50 copies made, and almost 50% of them went through Ebay? Highly unlikely. In my opinion.

It can cut only 10" discs though.

French Dubplates isn't a company as such. It's just a Discogs list. Discogs account "dmp" created it and added Sy Hightower to it for whatever reason.

Don't worry. The dutch release is a late 70s reissue, worth about 15 quid max.

yes, "I'm in need of love" made it on 45 only in Krautsville. Demo on Epic with promo sleeve not that hard. Proper issue with picture sleeve very hard to find.

I agree Usually not a huge JW fan. But his version is a masterpiece. Erma F is close second.

From what I remember RCA acetates all had RCA Reference Recording label on them, i.e. cut in-house and not at the pressing plant. Or is the one pictured in the Manship vid a test press and not an acetate?

Hope I understand you right, you've got a UK music publishers acetate from the mid/late 70s. One side is Rufus Lumley stronger than me, flipside is a different artist. Any chance the acetate had blank flip originally and someone used it to cut Stronger than me on it?
