  1. Marc, can you post a scan of Brenda Holloway?
  2. I interpret it as a well known record that remained a one-off for the last 35+ years ("The world’s RAREST Northern Soul Classic ORIGINAL having been a ONE OF A KIND 45 for near 4 decades."). So not just a record in an usual format/press/label design. I wouldn't put my money on it, but maybe something like Living Color instrumental as mentioned before?
  3. I just compared both releases. Pretty obvious, Starville is first press.
  4. or spanish, french, german, whatever 45. Probably everywhere around the world except US of A.
  5. Baz, don't drink and post.
  6. None of the records you mention deserve such a pre-auction hype (IMO). My money is on a well known Northern oldie on a format that nobody knew it exists (yawn). On the other hand, something like the alreaday mentioned Diane Lewis c/up on a proper release copy, yummy yummy.
  7. Dito. Which one came first, by the way?
  8. No it isn't. "Galveston bay" is on the Wants List CD.
  9. I guess Stefan is Stefan Anderson?
  10. Old favourite of mine. Is this a first-time on CD? BTW, it's just "cold winter..." not "cold cold winter..." even tho he sings "cold" twice.
  11. I'm with Marc, IMO it's only urban myth that some posties open mailers, take out the record and re-seal mailer in a way nobody notices it. Unless somebody proves otherwise my bet is that in all these "empty mailer" cases seller didn't send the record just the mailer, deliberately or not.
  12. Easily £100+ these days.
  13. Jimmy Gilmer - Thunder'n lightnin' - Dot (France) EX sol £10 15 60's newie. Nice french original. Fetches £25 on US and £40 on UK. 16. ORIEGA records out of Los Angles, brings us Debra Johnson with this powerful femme vocal over a strong mid-tempo backing, making it ideal for the northern soul scene. A limited 500 press, this Miles Grayson, Mike Noriega production is surely destined to become highly collectable 45.
  17. Isn't that a bit harsh? Sure, there are better Shrine records. But I think Watch Your step is pretty good. Very good vocal group sound infact. Is it right is awful.
  18. A mate asked me to post this on Soul Source: He's got an ex cond W/D of Art & Honey "Let's make love now" on Motown that he's willing to trade for Rare Pleasure "Let me down easy" (Cheri, vg++ or better). Anyone? Please PM, thanks!
  19. Free Ebay Sniper? I don't think Soul Source is the right platform to ask for someone who shoots overpricing Ebay sellers for free
  20. Can't play the YT vid but the one doing the rounds credited first to DR and later to BM is clearly Babs Mercer. Sounds very unfinished so I guess it's publishers demo acetate for other artists. Shawn Robinson on Minit is credited Myto Music, that's Don Davis isn't it?
  21. Bought a few nice things off that seller just recently. Always meant to go through all his other Ebay records but never found the time. Otherwise it would have been me who snapped up Eddie Carlton. Am gutted
  22. It's an original. Well done!
  23. I'm not such a c*nt after all. Found the double album the other day. Fantastic tracks. Brought back many memories.
  24. Even though the picture shows the 12" it's the same recording as the 7" version. Both records state 5:00 but the actual song is only about 3:40
