  1. Like I said in the first post, IMO, it's not demo but a genuine 1st issue release. I guess the guy selling it listed it as a demo because it's white rather than the 4 colour release. So, no not a white dj copy that isn't a demo just a release with a white label Best..
  2. Hi mate, Pretty sure this is ok. It's not a demo (hence no 'Not For Sale' on the label) what it is, IMO, is a copy the original white label release which was disributed alongide the 4 colour label release. Regards..
  3. This is a great record. Highly recommended for the money!
  4. It's a convincing counterfeit copy. But, the easiest way to tell from just a photo is a wide looking deadwax area and if you look at the label carefully you can see a run-down toward the centre hole (like the one in the photo on the bay). This is definitely a boot and has sold for £75 - go figure that one! The seller, if he is having advice, is getting bad advice and knowingly or not is not declaring the item as even potentially not original. That's bad practice full stop Regards.
  5. Just don't do it that's the message. Great record then and now, full stop! If you're thinking of buying a record of quality that is still relevant this definitely is one to consider! Torch Forever Enjoy!
  6. Just had a look at this one.. If this is an original the guy selling it is very kind. However, looking at the scan the deadwax looks particularly wide which suggests to me this is definitely the counterfeit/boot. Only my opinion mind !!
  7. As far as I know, and this is one of my absolute faves, then JM's right and the Greek copy does appear now and then but is probably still scarce (How Tim Ash can reach down to use a jukebox baffles me the lanky devil). The Italian picture cover Gamble is also a nice rare slab. However, for most of us it's between the US local release on Sassy and the US Gamble release. Additionally, for the sane, it is surely the double sider with 'Your Love - Pain' on the flip that is the most sought after and therefore surely the most scarce (scarcity = rarity x demand). That narows it down to the US Gamble release and one of the Saay 1002 releases. IMHO these are the releases that should carry a value premium. Regards..
  8. Unforunately a counterfeit copy i.e. boot. Sorry... Still, some nice other bits. Regards.
  9. Pete What's the url for the area specifically listing the 'latest additions' Ta.
  10. Really nice record Baz - both sides. Remember this from Stafford and got a copy back then - never thought it would turn out to be tuff as it has. Regards..
  11. ------------------------------------------------------- Anybody help with the Katie Briggs? Thanks..
  12. No disrespect, but is this question a wind up? Most obviously not a genuine article. Brilliant record never the less, I do love my cheesy shite disco backed with great vocals!
  13. The offer of a tenner earlier in the thread may be now reduced to $ dollars rather than £GBP. The Devil's in the Deadwax Detail ! Regards.. BTW Just noticed the listing has been removed from the Bay. Now either somebody on here made an underhand off bay offer or somebody did find a counterfeit copy. You make up your mind as to which one of these is most likely
  14. This side, "Let's Get Together", is a real nice tune with a deep southern feel to it with great horns and a driving beat. Seems to me to be the kind of record that would appeal at the moment with it's funkier edge. Taken the liberty of posting up your refo clip from a couple of years back Sebastian! Valentinos - Let's Get Together -
  15. When it crops up the asking price seems to be £350 - £400 for a nice example. That's for a copy with the great flip Love '(Your Pain Goes Deep)' a £100 less for the alternative flip. The release on Gamble, which also has the good flip, is around the £400 mark IMHO. Regards,
  16. Hi Ric-Tic, I'll start at the top: Detroit Executives, the green issue, price to sell £150 IMHO Best..
  17. And at £20 that's criminally cheap Great record for somebody at a great price!
  18. Alright if you like that kind of effort. Blued Eyed soul for 50 times a decent one like, for instance, "Detroit Soul - All Of My Life". You could always buy some of the other bits the seller has (real specialist - not ): Arcade, Jukeboxes & Pinball (6)Decorative Collectibles (1)Tobacciana (1)Militaria (1) Fantabeedozee..

  20. I don't think this is in JM's guide, I might be wrong (anyone?), so even JM's Guide has the odd hole. Usually though, it's not far off and if combined with the learned people on here most questions seem to get an answer. It's a big bad world out there wolfie mate and we need to help each other to learn, progress and especially not get ripped off! All the best..
  21. The maroon boot is easy to spot cause the original is green ! The counterfeit green copy is out there it has silver letters (original is gold) and doesn't have the nashville matrix (the original does have a nashville matrix) The difference between a boot and a counterfeit is the boot is made for financial gain but does not / will not confuse the buyer when compared with an original. A counterfeit is made too fool/defraud the buyer into believing the record is an original and seeks to gain maximum financial reward. Hope that's clearish. Regards
  22. They all go for about the same price usually about £40 - £60 deoending on condition. You're right though, the 'Debra Anderson' doesn't turn up nearly as often. I prefer the 'Schwartz' version on RCA which is also spelt Dede as opposed to Dee Dee and is , IMHO, a little more scarce than the 'Warwick' Private Stock releases (perhaps as noted above because there is more than one release on Private Stock. BTW SJ, how many Broon Ales had you had when you did the post - "Swarcht/Warwiick copies.." Regards...
  23. Rich Better late than never! Somebody with the tech has posted it up (see below) BTW It's not my copy on Ebay it's Dave Pinch (as usual no commision is involved - unless you want to Dave ) Knowing I Love You - Leon Collins -
  24. This one's a fantastic record that has great vocals and is very dancable (if that matters) but has a clear peace message whether it's explicitly a vietnam song I'm not too sure. "Got to learn to love... And if they could say they're willing, To stop all this killing, Let everyone learn to love, Gotta have a love..." VANGUARDS - GOTTA HAVE LOVE - LAMP -
  25. That's an investment for £80. Both very nice cuts! Grab em somebody (note: no commission is being paid ) Regards...
