slighty off topic..i think i mentioned some time ago i have a 7" no label metal acetate of "Instant Heart break" i got from Tim A years ago...which is about 5 rpm slower than the Drew issue...i wonder if this is how it was originally recorded ..and speeded up for the Drew release...play the Drew at -5 ..let me know what you think...Dream Girl is identical Acetate and Drew recording

Elf - (Label Of The Week)
i havent got the long/short demo so i cant confirm for definite...there was a good thread on this a while ago.....one thing is interesting is the mislabelling of the short vocal version on the UK EMI ISSUE as "Dynamite Explodes" (Morris Bailey..of Celestrals fame among others)...which is actually the title of the Gentle Persuasion song (US Soul Dimension/UK People)....
-

E. Rodney Jones: R&b Time On Charisma?
i had both at one time (then i sold the black one (i was going thru my "beige" period at the time) then i was told the brown was a boot ...why i believed this i dont know as it was a common 45...my theory is that the brown was first because for the second run they ran out of brown ink and had to use the plentiful black
