  1. https://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ should sort you out, fingers crossed
  2. To download the files to your desktop (or anywhere): When they start playing, the right hand end of the Quicktime plug in bar should have a downward pointing triangle. Give it a few seconds and click on said triangle - a menu should come up including the option "Save As Quick Time Movie" - this will allow you to download the file, it will have the extention .mov tho', so you'll need to rename it to .mp3 if you want to import it into iTunes. Hope this helps
  3. 'twas actually on the B-side of her massive hit "Loves Coming At You" so probably not too hard to find
  4. Hmm, couldn't help singing "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" along to this one
  5. Staying on the soul/cartoon links, don't forget Patrice Holloway was one of Josie's Pussycats!
  6. Great tune innit, I've got the LP - "Soul" and "Gonna Find A Cave" are pretty good too...but then again, I'm probably biased being a fan of the Hanna-Barbera oeuvre
  7. If I remember rightly tho', Epitome of Sound "You Dont' Love Me" was originally covered up as Moses Smith and even bootlegged under that name...?
  8. I thought I had a puking smiley somewhere, can't find it tho' so I'll have to settle for
  9. And one would have to add to that list the young lady at Samantha's 25/10/04 who was practically bouncing off the walls all night! (ps - strange innit, we have 2 smileys for wanking and one for fighting but a dancing one I have to poach off SomethingAwful? )

It does by me at Clowne!
  11. Out of interest, returning to the allegations Ady made in the first post, have these been reported to the BPI or RIAA for investigation? Because it strikes me that this - and some of the other things mentioned in this thread - are a much larger threat to legitimate revenue than the poor quality mp3s circulated via Krapzaa etc. which seem to be their main target at the mo

Probably because the end bit of the chorus is a direct clone of "Downtown"...also the earlier part of the melody is borrowed from Trinity "We Love The Pirate Stations".
  13. Whenever I have a spot, you're on my guest list (if you promise not to do that) By the way, on this whole subject, I'm often reminded of this little quote I saw on a site one time: Sounds famililar...
  14. Must admit, I would have guessed at that one being a recent boot - the fonts on the label look kind of modern n'est-ce pas?
  15. For what it's worth, the wap thing works fine on my shiny new Nokia 6260 via 02 Active
  16. "I'm Not Gonna Give Up" - certainly is ace!
  17. Exits - Under The Street Lamp/You Got To Have Money
  18. It didn't change hands at Ponds Forge earlier this year did it? If so, it's gone to a good home
  19. The Four Tops version did also get a 45 release - at least in the UK on the B-side of "Bernadette".

(I assume here you refer to her cover of Baby I Need Your Lovin) The ironic thing is, that particular track can be found on Gayle's Love Fever album - when that was a new(ish) release, the track that Richard S (and probably others) opted to play was "Let's Go All The Way" - IMHO far superior, but probably still a bit too funky for today's scene.
  21. Not unprecendented - I remember someone who always used to refer to Mr. Anderson's vinyl emporium as "The Bowl"
  22. There's a version credited to the "Part Time Party Time Band" on Pyramid, JM has it for £20.
  23. Was this Ernestine Eadey?
  24. I imagined the late '70s BBC1 Programmes For Schools clock counting down as that played Hmm that's a point, may be I should cut Midland Montage to an acetate and cover it up...
