The are 2 things Ian needs to do, number one visit some quality venues & hear some DJ's playing quality sets, this needs to be done over a period of time, so he can get a feel for todays 'sound'. Number 2, shut up with the self promotion & just play good records. If IL did this, I think he could really do the business.....I think Ian is being advised by people who want to sell records..... I just did.....been there already mate, but the thing is there are too many folk on SS that can de bunk Ians claims for exclusivity...the are not so many on FB who can be bothered, so we all get Ians venom on FB....Ians issue with SS has always been that he couldnt bullsh*t the majority of members, nor do they keep quiet about it....Ian Levine was a legend, now he isnt.... However I dont think you can speak on behalf of 2000 people....anyway, not that interested in getting into a debate over it, just seems strange to me that your personal taste impacts on what you will & wont post........a period in WC history which is widely acknowledged as one of THE best musically & a period which impacted greatly on the next decades Rare Soul scene....a unique & extremly important snapshot, but we cant hear it cos you dont like 'Moddun' duh !!!!.....hey ho its your train set.... Lovin these shows, last one was the best yet & theyve all been crackin........'Underground Railroad' is brilliant, the acetates were FAB especially the Carol Anderson GM acetate, a real fave of mine since Dave first played it at one of my gigs years ago....too many brilliant records to name, & anyone into soul is missing out by missing this.....hope the show continues regularly & keep it up... Oh yes,.....like the f*ckin dogs they are, I wouldnt sleep until I had retribution.........., the Police will know who the local hoodlums are, wouldnt take much to put the word out, the amount that we spend on our collections a hundred quid bounty or more is a drop in the ocean by comparison & would probably get thier mates to grass em immediatly....
