  10. For sale "Echo Indigo IO" soundcard for your laptop. 1 Year old in Immaculate condition as it has only been in my laptop from new. Comes complete with all original packaging cables and driver discs. Be aware that this card is in the older "type II cardbus" format, please check that it is compatible with your system. RRP: £110 but I'm asking £60 including first class recorded post within the UK. Payment by paypal (as gift) ,personal cheque or concealed cash. Thanks for looking, Dave Here's the blurb: Indigo IO Notebook pro audio recording has never sounded so good, or been this convenient and affordable. Indigo io offers one stereo 1/8 inch analog input and output on a PCMCIA (Type II Cardbus) card powered by your notebook computer. It combines this with 24-bit/96kHz converters for the quality you deserve. Also included is a 6 foot audio cable for RCA or 1/4 inch connections. A unique feature of the Indigo io is the use of "virtual" outputs. Indigo io appears to software as if it has eight separate outputs, which are digitally mixed down to the physical outputs using Indigo io's "console" software and its on-board DSP. This makes Indigo io compatible with all popular multi-track software. And, with Echo's "multi-client" drivers, more than one application (such as an editor and a software synth) can be playing back through Indigo io at the same time. Hardware Features Software Features 1 stereo 1/8" analog input 1 stereo 1/8" analog output Supports full duplex 2 channel in, 2 channel out operation High quality headphone amp Analog volume control knob for output Supports true 24 bit, 96 kHz audio 100 MHz 24 bit Motorola DSP Powered by your notebook computer Includes 6 foot adapter cable for RCA and 1/4" connections PCMCIA (Type II Cardbus) slot required Software console for monitoring, metering, and setting levels Built-in digital mixer provides near-zero latency monitoring Supports Windows Me/2000/XP/Vista/Win 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) and Macintosh OS X (Jaguar, Panther, Tiger & Leopard) Supports pro audio software (WDM Kernel Streaming, ASIO, GSIF (32-bit only), and CoreAudio) 8 "Virtual Outputs" - run multiple applications at the same time Low-latency drivers
  11. I have always wondered about this track and remember the sound quality not being up to much when I had a copy way back. However, I also have this on "The Wigan Casino Story" CD and the recording is first rate - I thought it only existed on an acetate? If this correct then where did Goldmine get their soundfile from. I also remember the lookalike boot sounding like it was copied from the Grapevine copy? Anyone know if thsi is true ?? Best, Dave
  12. Hi Pete. The Lp was "The Hurt Of The City - Big City Soul Volume 2" (Kent 87) which also featured an alt take of Jimmy Radcliffe's "There goes the forgotten man". https://www.discogs.com/Various-The-Hurt-Of-The-City-Big-City-Soul-Volume-2/release/2316285 Best, Dave
  13. I have to agree Phil. 'you left me' was the first cut I ever heard by the group & is still my favourite. Dave.
  14. His follow up to 'sntd', 'if I ever dreamt I'd hurt you' is also first rate and well worth checking out on youtube. Dave
  15. Cheers Pete, I'll be giving this a hammering on the train to work tomorrow morning. Dave
  16. Nothing surprises me anymore with ebay. I bet it sounds as bad as it looks. Dave
  17. I sold a record to a guy in Germany last year (via ebay) and he contacted me a week after sending to say that it hadn't arrived. After a bit of investigation it turned out that he had given me the wrong post code for his Berlin address. Anyway, the following week he recieved the record as the PC he supplied didn't exist, so the postal service just used the rest of the address, which did. As Jules said, there is no NX post code so the record has nowhere to go. The seller sounds pretty flakey and I would file a paypal dispute for non delivery.
  18. That picture's the same as my copy Grant. I noticed that the UK issues state that it's stereo but not the stateside ones. The reason I'm asking is because my (VG++)US copy plays with a lot of distortion in stereo and perfectly in mono, so I'm assuming that it's a mono cut. Thanks for your reply mate, Dave
  19. Hi Folks. Can somebody put me out of my misery and tell me if the US 7" stock copy of Esther Phillips "home is where the hatred is" (kudu: KU-904) is a mono or stereo recording? Thanx in advance, Dave
  20. Great Ep - my one's staying put!! Good luck, Dave
  21. That would be George Street Market, Best, Dave
