  1. Agentsmith posted a soul guide event in Soul Nights

A Saturday night of quality 60's & 70's soul at a longstanding and well regarded venue in Madeley Telford, completely refurbished and ready for action. The venue is on Madeley High street, plenty of parking available, close to the dual carriageway and motorway networks within Telford, easily reached from Shrewsbury or Wolverhampton and the west midlands at large. This place has had a great reputation going back decades. Tickets are due on sale imminently, watch this space for details. Contact: reception@theanstice Anyone looking to stopover, simply needs to check the net for nearest hotel locations

  4. Big shout to our soulfully inclined neighbours in Telford, hopefully we'll see a good many of you making the short journey up the 54, making it a great start to 2023, nothing better than seekng a dance floor rammed to capacity!, and even an opportunity for the west midland crowd to put in an appearance, the more new faces in, the better...now into our 15th year!.

  6. Eagerly anticipating this one!, the anniversaries have always been extra special occasions, the music unquestionably brilliant!, right on the money, as with how it used to be at the original venue. Certainly had many a great night there, one of the best dance floors in the uk, sadly all gone now but fondly remembered...Culcheth is proving to be the ideal replacement, established in its own right now...how we werent aware of this hidden gem before now is a complete mystery, but its certainly having the desired effect in keeping the flame burning. A great line up of djs with superb record collections, guaranteeing youll hear something you like, if not everything.....everything itll be then!!๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘

  9. Main road access into the venue comes via A5/M54/A49/A52...that covers any artivals from North-Mid Wales/Cheshire/Staffs/Westmids and further afield. 10. Yep Mick, i reckon so!, hours drive parking at a premium...earlier than the burglers and milkmen๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
  11. Looking forward to some top tuneage from the team and guests...yet another Lancastrian venue carrying the baton, passed on From totw, Albrighon, Lowton, amongst others, deep delving into the expansive collections, and a good dancefloor to exercise a few pound shifting movements....its all good for sure!,

  13. Always getting newcomers/travellers to this function...the Anniversary in November was no exception...so as you know what to look for, here's a picture of the building....it isnt lit up btw, and is pretty much hidden from view hence, we always give details of how to find us!. Competitive bar prices, great dancefloor, dont really need talc, just a good pair of shoes, plenty of parking...seating will go fairly quick though, as people tend to turn up early, so the tip is: get there just as soon as!๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽต๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ•บ๐ŸŽถ
  14. Hi Louisa, The venue is the Masonic Hall, formerly a church. Its located in Crewe Street which is just off the A5191. If you drive and have a satnav, the postcode is: SY1 2HQ. The venue is less than 5 mins from the town centre or if walking approx 10 mins. If youve friends you know, may be interested too, just pass on the details ok? Atb, Rob๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘
  15. WELL, having viewed a literally clean slate in the west mids ( nothing going on? ) its a NO BRAINER to get to Shrewsbury ( if youre looking for something close at hand ) and enjoy an evening embracing the longest running ' Church sermon ' in SALOP!. great music, plenty of forgotten oldies/club classics as well as rarities and good modern crossover...touch base with all the genres under the Soulful umbrella. Plenty of reasonably priced accommodation at hand for travellers who want a stopover and if you dont possess a car, easy to get to by bus or rail. Get in touch with Russ or Mark if you want more details or you have queries.

  17. Superb venue and well attended too, all prkceeds to charity...that ticks a lot of boxes, good variety of music and a busy dancefloor in the main....only 3 miles from us ( 10 mins in car ), always a bonus when somethkngs right on your doorstep.
  18. Top night out, as always and a great variety of tuneage to listen, and dance to, which is as good a reason as any to get to Shrewsbury and support this fabulous long running event๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘always plenty of travellers and new faces, plus the regulars, proper soulies all!.
  19. Steve, Not easy to find in the dark, very easy to miss, need a bit more info in the advertising..specifically that the postcode covers a large area and dosnt put you outside the club...and that folk have to think about where to park, which is pretty much non existant unless theres something ive not seen?....other than that, 300 views on ss place should be busy..only soul night in NW on a tuesday....maybe folk already back at work?., we here ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘ thats our excuse!๐Ÿ˜
  20. The Clubhouse: long room with a good capacity, nice dancefloor, competitive bar prices, low ceiling so pretty good accoustics!
  21. OVER 500+ views....think its gonna be a very busy night....so, seating will be at a premium, getting to the venue early is a priority!, and dance floorspace will fill up quick too!.Shrewsbury is easily reachable via large road network ( M54, A49, A53, A5 ) If Youre attending for the first use the map listed at the top of the thread to locale the venue, once entering Shrewsbury. If youre thinking of coming via train, Shrewsbury station is about 10-15 walk to/from the venue,. Crewe street runs parallel to the A5191 which is a bus route, and there is also a taxi rank at the Station.
  22. Hey.....thats my jumper!!๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
