Not seen Toby in ages, but strangely enough I was only thinking about him last week, a true gent. great laugh and generous to a fault ! remember him sending me up a record I was missing and needed for a backing track for Melvin Davis. Very saddened to hear this news Great guy RIP Toby Rob
  9. I didn't know Jeanie Tracey had been done, however a frend recently showed me a recently purchased copy and to be honest it looked way different to the one I used to own. Are there several new look a likes being passed off as originals on unsuspecting collectors ??
  10. Here you go Chalky, I DJ d there for about 2 and a half years every fortnight, 87 /88 ish Gary Spencer was a regular as was Tony Warot, the nighters were quite up front at the beginning ran by Jon buck and Danny Everard several guest DJs inc Neil Nogger Allen when he was well, Bob banks was another. he's a flyer from when the nighters changed
  11. Great read Chalky, I can remember some of it but most is a blurrrrrr ! The days of ringing around or scanning Echoes to see what was on and walking into a Nighter and knowing 95% of the people in there have long gone. great times X Oh even some weekends with NOTHING on !¬
  12. I can recall the conversation Andy,(In the presence of Sam and Arthur) the "Clash" you talk about wasn't the 100 Club, but the Cleethorpes Weekender in June. If you remember I explained when the Bridlington Weekender started we had looked at the last weekend in April, however this wasn't available. We were offered 3 dates when the venue wasn't booked, The first clashed with Cleethorpes, the second with Whitby and the 3rd we took, which later became established as the last FULL weekend in June. I hope Lifeline finds a new home and continues long into the future and wish yourself Mick and Chalky well. I am also hoping to attend a few more Nighters myself now that I don't have shifts to worry about so I'll see you around soon for a chat. Rob
